As a birthday wish, I hope that those waiting for their SIF's get it this week. Those waiting for interview dates get them this week. Those waiting for anything get it from NVC this week. Good luck to everyone! I hope to hear some good news for this up coming week!!! Woo hoo!!

When we went through NVC last year we had the best luck getting through late at night. Good luck!

I would guess lots of calls to NVC are silly and should not be made but people being what they are just clog down the system. Then those who have reasonable and legitimate issues have to wait because

OMG another 500 dollars??!! We just celebrated our first year married...so my husband will get a one year GC? and then have to file for a new one and pay again?? they are draining us LOL!!!

Since the marriage is less than 2 years, your hubby will have 2 year conditional GC (CR1). This 2 year counts just after his POE. So, you need to renew it anytime after 1 year 9 months to 2 years of POE, by filing I-751 with current fee of $545. Then they will issue 10 year unconditional GC called IR1.

hey , how didiya find that out? seems i know nothing further than case completion! our case was completed on 31st Aug.. we thought they will let us know further and have been waiting impatiently.

UHm my husband did a tracking by date... and well there were only 2 packs delivered to Lima so... is not hard to find out.. but tomorrow we will now for sure :)

And by the wayyyyyyyyyyyy! I got my peruvian driver's license!!!! I am so excited.. now I need to start studying to take the tests in US... Njersey license.... :dancing: I think maybe will be a lil bit easier , the writtem test will be the other I am not sure but I have been told that there is no worse place to drive than Peru, so if people in US follow the rules I will be ok!

Emily, Conditional removal in 2 years. U.S citizenship after 1 year of that. i.e. total 3 years to become USC for family based GC holders.

Employment based GC holder need to wait 5 years and I waited that long from 2002 to 2007 :star:

I'm so thrilled! I just found out today that NCV got our case file (says on the 3rd)! :D

ok, check this out. When the Aos bill was paid, I sent the Aos stuff in. Then, the IV bill came in, I paid that, but I had to wait for my wife to send DS-230 and police certificates. so that did not go in until just this past Saturday. But I wake up today and to my surprise, there is a notice from NVC, they sent a checklist looking for the IV package......

first question: Did they work yesterday? If they did, all those bad things I said about them I take back.. lol, they gave up a picnic for a petition.

second question: they should receive the package this morning, does this mean that because I received a checklist, someone has already went to work on my file and now maybe within a week or two it might be complete?
