Ok, I'm starting to get really nervous. I don't have the requirements for the AOS yet. The tax return, how did you guys get it? Did you request it from IRS, Form 4506? I thought I only needed the tax transcripts. Did you guys have to pay $57 for each return?

Please help, I want to catch up with the requirements ASAP. I feel that I'm waaayyyy behind!

I got my tax transcripts, all my w2s, monthly pay stubs and a bunch of information about my military entitlements. I hope that's enough I'm waiting for the payment to clear so I can mail mine in.

No need to pay anything. Tax transcripts are free. Call IRS# automated number at 1-800-829-1040 and follow the prompts for the last 3 years return. You will have them in 2 weeks.

You can also have them fax them to you while you are on the phone with them. Granted you need to be by a fax machine as well.

There should be a local IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center near you. You can walk in to that office and within after about a 1 hour wait you will have the last 3 years of tax return transcripts in your hand.

Mrs&Mr D. you seem to be processing very quickly through the NVC! I think i'm getting bogged down in the system

Yeah, its like a breath of fresh morning air.. Just hope they keep this speed and hope they approve our expedition request!

BTW - about the lawyer - it all depends on WHO is your attorney...Our is really slow sometimes with responses but he is never short of good advices. So, as long as he is willing to do it OUR WAY, he is welcome to stay!

We just received our Invoice Number and AOS bill today. Already paid it. Now waiting for the IV bill so I can pay that. Then I can finally send this box of paperwork that I have saved up here in my house

Anthony, I will also use I-864EZ. But I don't know when this USCIS 'will' (a future tense!) allow me to do it

Thanks for everyone who replied about the tax returns! So the "Federal Income Tax Return" stated in the requirements is actually the Tax Transcript?

Loto, LOL! I'm sure it's not that far away. I'm still waiting for my NVC #. I've been calling them since I got the NOA2 hard copy with no results. It's already been 14 days from Notice date on the NOA2.

For the AOS-EZ, I could use it since I'm the sole sponsor, I met the poverty guidelines, my husband's the only person I'm petitioning, right?

Your W2 copies are enough. You should already have those.

Pay stubs are part of your paycheck. Its attached to your check that you receive typically. Otherwise I believe you can just have your employer sign a letter of your employment.

I dont think it matters. My wife (beneficiary) filled out her DS230 and mailed it to me. I then sent it into NVC myself, pretty sure this is very common.

Well, apparently I have to make some corrections to my statement, because it turns our that NVC haven't closed our K3 and said that they don't ALWAYS closed them. Also, they said we have to call the USE here and request for them to close it. Now, here is the vicious circle part - the USE tells us "Call NVC to close it" and the NVC says "Call the USE".. So basically, no we have an instruction letter for a K3 interview and the AOS&IV bills ready to be paid... :wacko:

I really hope we get things resolved Tue, cos this weekend is not gonna be a very nice one...

I still wish you all a good and stress free time tho!

And hope no one has to go through this cos it's enough to make you go crazy!
