I will have to read the "instruction package" again. If it must be included, it should be listed there, not that everything written in that are clearly explained.

I know, right! :D Thank you for the info tho..

I just read through the instruction letter, and it doesn't say anything there about the barcoded cover sheet. LingChe's NVC shortcut has a little checklist under Item B, what to include in NVC IV package. Again there, only says the cover letter...... If you do find that it is needed, would ya let me know?

I have a question for you:

In the instruction letter under "original documents" it states that you must send originals or certified copies and you must also submit one ledgible photo copy of each original, but later in the letter it says that you only need to send in set.

so is that one original and one photo copy of each original? or just the original. Obviously, I am making a copy of everthing sent in.... but????

If you mean the one u get from the payment portal - yes, I know we must include that one. But I'm talking bout the ones from the instruction letter you receive by e-mail that tells you ur OK to pay the AOS & IV bills... I'm only asking cos I read somewhere (shoot me if I know where) that we have to put those in the package also..

Mebeh I'm just stressing too much :bonk: Just thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.. :)

Just include the one from the payonline portal. You dont need to include the instruction page with bar code.:thumbs:

Hi! I'm still waiting for my NVC #, been a week since I received NOA2 hard copy. Anyway, I'm trying to get all the documents ready (I have a lawyer, but thinking of firing them since it's taking them a long time to do anything), for the AOS, do I have to send W2 and 1099 from the IRS, or a photocopy will suffice?

Also, who mails the DS-230? The petitioner or the applicant?

I-130

12/22/09: I-130 receipt date (Sent by lawyer to CSC)

8/20:10: Approved/NOA2

9/03/10: NVC # generated, gave e-mail adds

9/08/10: Received IV/AOS fee bill

9/09/10: Paid AOS/IV

9/13/10: Mailed completed AOS, enetered into the system on 9/14

9/19/10: Mailed completed DS-230, entered into the system on 9/22

10/13/10: CASE COMPLETE!!!

04/06/11: Case upgraded from F2A to CR-1

05/03/11: Final review completed

05/17/11: Interview date scheduled!

Honestly I dont think anybody needs a lawyer, if you follow all the steps and keep everything in order according with what NVC ask you should have no problem.. a friend of mine gve me this advice and we are doing all teh process alone... husband is very smart :) he always know what to do ...

And for our experience put the originals and a set of copies but be sure that the originals are first! or some dumb NVC person could just watch at the copies and dont bother to look for the originals and notify you saying you didnt send originals...

The DS 230 is the choose of agent????

the applicant is the one who mail it ....

You mean the original, actual W2 and 1099? or just the original copy (and photocopy) when you request it from IRS?

I mean the IV application, I think it's the DS-230.

Thanks!
