My friend filed I-485 and he was asked for an interview exactly a month ago. He went the officer told him Congratulations and approved his application.. the officer mentioned that it might take a month to three months to get the green card in the mail. She didn't give him approval letter.

My friend adjusted his status through him mother who is a LPR and brother who is a citizen. He was on a student visa. The officer told him that he doesn't have to go to school if doesn't want want.

Since then, there hasn't been any updates online on his cases status. Is this normal?

He made an ifo pass and went to the local office to get a stamp on his passport as he wants to travel. However, they told him that he can't get a stamp because his cases is pending.

What should my friend do? Wait? or wait?

Thank you for your help

Wait.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.
