Hello my name is Nathaniel, I come to ask for some help/guidance. Here is my situation, My wife arrived to the usa on a k1 visa in march we followed the conditions of the visa and got married. In august my wife had to travel back to her home country for a family emergency which turned out to be okay. "Family exagerated". We filed for her AOS in the middle of july and had a biometric on AUG 9TH, she traveled back home august 2nd. which means she did not attend the biometric. Because she entered in a K1 which is a only a one entry, she cannot return back to the USA.

I have called everyone that would listen to me. The USCIS gave me the run around and kept refering me to border patrol, who then refered me to border protection "theirs a difference" back to USCIS and then to some office in Washington.

Boder Patrol, customs, Border Protection dont understand why USCIS kept refering me to them which I could not understand either.

USCIS still have not given me a clear answer on what i needed to do since it appears that everyone I spoke to only knows how to read off a compputer screen, including the supervisors.

Well I have came to the determination that I will have to go through another long visa process to get my wife back into the usa, so im going the IR-1 CR-1 route.

I have looked at he guide here on this forum for the IR-1 CR-1 but they dont come clear to me.

The guide says that I need to fill out the I30

Do i also have to do the I 129F?

My wife has a social security # and a A# which was on her I 94 when she entered, Do I use the A# from her I-94 on the application?

Can some one please advise the fees, or an estimate that this who process will cost me.

Thank you all for your time and help.

re: 129F - don't do it - it's a waste of time and effort - see http://www.visajourney.com/news/2010/02/07/department-of-state-to-close-k-3-visas-if-i-129f-and-i-130-petitions-approved-and-received-together/

re: A# - yes.

fees -

I-130 submittal - 355

NVC processing -

AOS - 88

IV - 404

plus any fees for creating the civil documents required for a DS-230.

Prior to interview -

medical exam - fees vary by country, prolly a little more than what was paid for on the K-1 visa medical exam.

Suggest you include a letter of explanation, as well, as to 'why you are applying for a CR-1 visa now'.
