No , not yet.... and you know? seems that this supervisors are always "in meetings" "leaving early" or just "unavaliables" (or how u spell it!) uhm.. sometimes I just think they deny theirself...

But to be fair today husband call NVC and they were very helpfull, they listen to him... and even get teh "eyeball" thing (I guess) lets see what happens by the end of the day...lets keep positive

So far I am torturing myself checking if i can sing in or not in the pay page... I must be masoquist!

NVC is open about 18 hours, each day, from 07:30 to 00:00 , Monday-Friday, with 2 to 3 shift changes.

Don't just 'let it sit' with one phone call.

Do you want to play with an RFE, or do you want 'wisdom' to prevail?

Chose one or the other, yes?

IMO, keep on the NVC 'get a supervisor' campaign until that conversation actually happens.

OR, reply to the RFE.

Darnell, our case, as far we know, is being expedited and seems there is only one unit to see it (?) so our P.I. supervisor and her unity leave by 4pm

How lame! Miss_Monkey- I would like to thank you for the DISCAMEC tip. I have yet to hear how the experience went but my husband got his a.j there today. I wish you the best of luck on the rest of your journey! Heck, we might run in to the same problem as you, so I will be looking to see how this turns out.

So can I use the G-884 to request a certified copy back that was processed by the California Service Center for our NOA2 stage approval, in order to submit that doc to NVC? The G-884 form seems to assume your case is already complete, as it asks for naturalization dates.

I submitted a certified copy of my husband's divorce and they accepted it at the California Service center, but I only had a copy for NVC(along with another certified Civil Registry document from Turkey, which I thought they would accept as proof of divorce), but they rejected that, and now my husband is having trouble getting another certified copy because he has to return to the town in which the divorce was filed and he is working on the other side of the country for the summer.

karen - here is another tactic that YOU CAN TRY - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work.

CALL IN TO NVC -

explain that you have a documents problem, and you need to talk with a supervisor.

ONCE you get a supervisor, you need to tell them that the certified copy was submitted with the I-130, and that you need to have the supervisor REQUEST an 'eyeball review' of the documents from the I-130, to yank out the divorce decree and utilize it with the DS-230 document set.

Mostly, this works. There are times when it has failed, but IMO, wasn't any NVC fault.

Thanks so much for the advice. They said usually it takes 24-48 hours for this "eyeball review" but because of where my documents are it could take longer, and to check back in 5 days, but sounds promising at least.

i do hope you talked with a supervisor, though, as

usually the NVC Tele-Operator isn't 'empowered' enough to make the request for any 'eye-ball review'.

My apologies for not being clearer - but

the supervisor makes the request. a supervisor cannot 'review' anything via eyeball review, but can make the request. That request will go to one or more places, depending on what is being asked for/to review. And that's ok - the request was started by a supervisor, got 'in the pipeline' and soonish, will be resolved.

Whew !

For this, never, ever waste time with the first human that answers the telephone - must get a supervisor.
