How much shoukd the petitioner have in his account or how much should he be earning to be able to support beneficiary and meet the USCIS requirement. I don't understand what the 125% povery means can someone please enlighten me.

Here is the link to the poverty guidelines for 2010:

The current income required for a two person household is $18,212.00.

If the petitioner meets the income requirements, the amount in his bank account isn't important.
