I think people that have lived in the Middle East are a bit more qualified to their opinions than you are of their opinions.

probably, though a well read, well studied and traveled american guy could be quite knowledgeable about the area and the people who live there. not that simpson qualifies in any way, but some americans could be a lot more knowledgeable than a random arab guy selling dvds in amman or damascus. arabs can be as clueless as anyone else can be, or have their own very wrongheaded and bigoted ways of looking at things, just like anyone else unfortunately.

True as well. I was thinking of this Imam, since he apparently migrated to the US about 20 years or so ago.

What are you under the belief that every conservative takes Republicans words as scripture? Stupid is stupid regardless to who the host is.

no one is trying to remove him from congress, or say he can't perform the functions of a congressional member because he says those things though. they're not disqualifying him from his job, the way some are attempting to do to feisal rauf.

got it. and in his case, he does have some unique insight, knowledge, and understanding of both places, that is not easily replicated.

So this bars him of being a idiot when it comes to topics regarding the middle east. Hamas is a terrorist group and he should of called admitted it.

I dont live in the great state of Texas so I have no voting power but I have voiced my opinions about Ron Paul as I have about Imam. Both idiots IMO.

There's that negation of his opinion based on history and context again. Simpson, maybe my grade question for you should have been more specific to those classes that dealt with logic and debate.
