Hello! I did hear that being pregnant can make the process going faster between NVC and the interview, info or intox? does someone know something about it, I'm afraid that the interview will be scheduled around November and the doctor told me it will be probably too late to leave France. :(

It doesn't matter. (if it did, there would be a lot more people coming here pregnant I think :))

Your visa would still be valid after you get it - more than enough to take care of your baby. (CR-1).

You would probably want to look at birth abroad for the baby, to get USC for them.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

If you are due in January, it means that in Nov. you will be 7 months pregnant, right? Normally, you would be allowed to fly, but it would be great if you could have your interview earlier than that. Have an easy pregnancy and delivery  .

dijonne,

Pregnancy is unimportant to USCIS and NVC. They will do their normal processing. However, you 'MAY' try to expedite your case by calling them and explaining the situation. Who knows you may be granted a speedy approval?

For your new born baby, if you wish to make him/her U.S Citizen, you can do Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) in France and get baby's U.S Passport, if your U.S citizen sponsor has lived at least 5 years in the U.S.

Yes, his/her dad is a us citizen, so it should not be too complicated for the passeport (... even if a photo of a newborn, eyes open and closed mouth ! ahahaha what a challenge!). We MAY try to expedite our case, it COULD work, who knows? Thanks to everybody for your answers
