I guess that there is always one person in the relationship that is better at paperwork...so i guess that person (man or woman) is put in charge...with the help and support of the significant other .

I'm the (female) petitioner. I did a lot of the work on the petition, and let Nik sort out the visa application. He did his own forms and I did mine for each portion there. I am definitely the more obsessive one when it comes to tracking. We both did research on the AOS portion, again, I more for my forms, he more for his. I am the main poster, and Nik tends to just lurk and read... I don't post much on the questions side either, mostly answering/chatting (like here!)

I'm the agent of choice. My brother its the petitioner.. Submitted paperwork for our mom/dad. I did the inquire, submitted the paperwork and is pushing this as fast and accurate as possible. No RFEs.

Brother/ parents have no clue what's going on.alll they have to do is just sign the already completed forms.

Just out of curiosity ...i was wondering who all you VJers are ? Are you the beneficiary or the petitioner ?

In my case i'm the beneficiary... my husband doesn't have the patience or the time to deal with all the paperwork that this visa journey involves...so i took it up on myself to gather, inquire and find out what needed to be done to bring this journey to a good end ?

So who are you guys, who did all the legg work...who is on here ?

I'm the beneficiary, my fiance did all the paperwork but i was the one reading and researching for all of the info,that's how i got to found VJ

My fiance is extremely careful with everything so when i told him "I wish i was there to help you" he said "I rather to do it by myself" He was just trying to say that he works better alone so he can have everything organized BUT what i understood by then was "I don't need your help" LOL that was our first disagreement ever...this process could be sooo stressful since the very beginning

Its my nature to research on things I dont know or understand. My fiance is more the type of person .. you tell him what needs to be done .. and he does it. So I needed to figure out what needed to be done. Im a planner and he is spontaneous, so this just naturaly fell into my lap.

I was/am the beneficiary and both my husband and I worked equally on the K-1 process, but after I moved to the U.S., I did most of the rest of the work for AP, EAD, AOS, ROC, and Naturalization.

In November, I will be doing all the paperwork for my daughter's (K-2) Naturalization.

as most of you know the beneficiary does a great deal with medicals and interviews, the nerve racking stuff, I appreciate what she went thru for us!

she also worked extra hours while waiting to help finance this Journey, as we all know it is expensive! while trying to live lives apart for how ever long it takes, as we still have lives to support, 2 households! WHILE IN A RECESSION AT THAT!!! funny we were on vacation at Disneyland in 2008 when the first bubble broke and the whole economic issue began to surface,

just think we all made it thru this journey in these times! congrats to you all!!!
