Just out of curiosity ...i was wondering who all you VJers are ? Are you the beneficiary or the petitioner ?

In my case i'm the beneficiary... my husband doesn't have the patience or the time to deal with all the paperwork that this visa journey involves...so i took it up on myself to gather, inquire and find out what needed to be done to bring this journey to a good end ?

So who are you guys, who did all the legg work...who is on here ?

01/26/2008 met online

05/25/2008 flew to Alaska to meet the man i fell inlove with

12/31/2008 got married in belgium on newyears eve

01/17/2009 found out i was pregnant

07/07/2009 I-130 petition at lockbox chicago

09/18/2009 Our beautiful little girl is born

10/21/2009 I-130 petition approved

11/30/2009 Received AOS and visa application bill

02/05/2010 Finally payed AOS and visa application fee online

00/00/2010 lot of messing up

05/25/2010 Sent of AOS and DS-230 to NVC

06/16/2010 Recieved checklist from NVC about birthcerteficate,marriage cert.

06/17/2010 Sent package of to NVC

06/28/2010 PAckage recieved at NVC

I'm also the petitioner. I did all the paperwork, for the K-1 and AOS, with the help of VJ of course!! My husband did all the transportation sorting: getting to the medical and interview and biometrics once he was here in the US.

July 23rd - 30th, 2008 -- Damian's Mum Comes to the US for our wedding.

July 25th, 2008 -- Wedding Day!

March 16th, 2009 -- AOS Sent

May 8th, 2009 -- EAD & AP Approved (51days)

July 14th, 2009 -- AOS Approved!! (118days)

July 21st, 2009 -- Green Card Received (125days)

No RFEs the whole process :) All done myself.

April 8th - 30th, 2010 -- Damian's Brother visits us here in PA.

Hi there Marijke! I'm also the beneficiary. And the paperwork was mostly done by our lawyer, I found out about VJ a few months after we had already paid the retainer bill but thank God overall it has been a good experience. I know for sure that with VJ my husband and I could've done all the paperwork with no help from the lawyer. But oh well! Now we're just waiting to get an interview date assigned.

Thank you all for responding :)...It seems that mostly the woman are in charge of handling the majority of this visa process :innocent: ...or am i wrong. In my case if i would of lett my husband do anything besides pay the bills and get angry at the operators this journey would of taken at least 4 years :whistle::bonk:! Not that i didn't make mistakes :blush: , i had this account since 2009 and if i would of found my way back a bit sooner this process would not have taken so long. I am gratefull for this site and all the people who have helped us :thumbs: !!!

I'm the beneficiary and I did a lot of research and a lot of paperwork but my fiancée did an amazing job with the I-134 form and supporting documents and also with the research before we started the process.

I was/am the beneficiary and did the majority of the work. My wife was very helpful in the process but I took care of mostly everything.
