Even though white people are usually always victimized by hate the authorities will never prosecute it as a hate crime but they have no problem trying a white person for a hate crime.

I wear no veil- I do not hide my utter disdain of sh!tfaces that hide their racism behind excuses, fake arguments, and tsk tsk moments in order to divert attention away from their hatred of their fellow human beings. Racism in any form has no value for a modern human society other than showing us how stupid we can be.

As for my statement, all that is needed is closer attention, not any particular set of frequencies. I do find it interesting your wording would insinuate you find yourself identified in that group of 'some.'

Statistically speaking, there is no support for a white victim at the same level that other races have been treated. Suggesting there is some sort of institutional bias against white people in this nation is not only ludicrous, but also displays that same attitude of which many a racist show when confronted with their own bigotry. I didn't insinuate anything. I just wanted you to be explicit in what you're saying, which you only sort of did, even when asked rather specifically to outline it. Sorry I can't muster up any more indignation, but I don't get that worked up over message boards, and I'm very confident that I'm a tolerant, open-minded person who acknowledges my "weak spots" and is actively working to correct them. And we *all* have weak spots. Period.

If you are suggesting that whites (or any "race" - even though white isn't a 'race') are not ever discriminated against, or more precisely, that they CANNOT be disciminated against (because they are a majority, or because they've got "white privilege" or whatever), then you've said all you need to say. It's not a binary world, you know. Just because something is not "A" doesn't make it "B".

Again, the attitude I see here (rather shockingly, given the stated purpose of this site and the rather necessary fact that it draws a wider cross-section of humanity than most other sites) is that anyone who doesn't see the world the same way you do, is a bigot, or a racist, or uneducated, or in some other way less of a complete person than you are (and I don't necessarily mean "you", Hal, I mean "you" in the generic 2nd person sense... although you display a fair bit of it, if we're being honest).

That approach will NEVER yield successful compromise or lead to mutual understanding, because all it does it attempt to assert dominance/superiority over someone else, and gives them little incentive to try to see something in any other light.

I'm not asking for you to tolerate or excuse racism, because you shouldn't, but suggesting that (in this case) there is a CHANCE that minority-on-white crime is less likely to be reported/classified as "hate crimes" (which is from whence this whole brouhaha erupted, no?) is not a racist suggestion, or a "thin veil" or whatever. It's an assertion that either can or can't be backed up statistically. The problem is, the statistics that people are trying to use are incomplete, and will only tell one story. For instance, if we want to prove that they're less likely to be reported as hate crimes, we'd ALSO need to see the demographics of all crimes (comparing perpetrators to victims) and then isolate the x-on-y incidents, then calculate if a disproportionate amount of either (x-on-y or y-on-x) were reported/tried as hate crimes vs. those that weren't.

We don't have those numbers (at least, I didn't see them). We see what percentage of those crimes reported/classified as hate crimes were x-on-y vs. y-on-x. Not useful stats on their own, at least, not for this...

No problem- I think you may be misinterpreting my 'intolerance' of intolerant people as one that raises my bp from reading posts on message boards.

Simply put, I do not claim whites are not subjected to hate crimes, nor not discriminated against. I do find it interesting that some people that have clear expression patterns of racially-motivated behavior (on a message board we'd be calling that 'writing') cowardly hide this pattern of behavior in what they may believe to be a carefully-crafted attempt at diverting their own shortcomings as human beings inside other arguments that may seem completely rational and even widely acceptable due to the merits of their circumstances.

In all tranquility I do not feel singled out by your assertion that differing perspectives tend to garner such labels. This is true for most points of view expressed by a small collection of posters in this section of the site- and for such instances I do ask that first, a truthful context is applied to the interpretation of these cases... very telling it is indeed when all contextual cues are summed. Unfortunately, reading comprehension, purpose, and grandstanding are factors that come in to play on message boards that have such OT sections, and personality [flaws] will undoubtedly push an actual honest context out of reach for many minds here.

As for the statistical argument, again... one needs to consider who's making certain arguments here. Few people should be fooled by certain MOs here that appear like clockwork whenever certain data sets, confirmed by law enforcement data collection, appear to combine with their conspiracy-prone thoughts that selectively filter out cross-representative FACT, with the most absolute likelihood that if all forms of victimization can occur, then it does occur. For this last part to confirm, nevertheless, a purposeful misreporting of hate crimes against white victims is speculative at the least, and purposefully deceitful at the worst. When history is factored in, human nature runs its course and again, we should not be fooled by wolves in sheep's clothing.

I do believe the reporting data you saw, is processed to filter out the entire set of crimes committed on the population against itself. Obviously, when a victim states a claim of hate as the motivating factor in the commission of a crime, its investigated in those cases where the claim is convincing enough- contrary to what those with likely hidden agendas would like for you to believe.

I think what happens in most cases is the moderators get their mailboxes filled up with complaints when someone has an unpopular opinion. In turn the moderator becomes annoyed then deletes the post and locks the thread. I was once a moderator on a forum but quickly become annoyed after a week and passed the job on to someone else because of this.
