Hello Everyone,

I am trying to file for my Mother-in-law to visit us here in USA this December. I found the DS-160application and submitted the application. How do I go about paying for the application fees. Nothing is mentioned about fees except that the initial cost is $140 for applying and then again some other cost for the actual processing and issuance.

How to pay for the fees?

Also, do my Mother-in-law need the Birth certificate?, if yes, from where?

Does she need the marriage certificate?, if yes, from where?

Any other documents?

When will she be asked to for the interview?

Sorry lots of questions, but I do not see any instructions out there.

Thank you all.

Hi. You pay the fees directly in the embassy. I don't think your mother in law needs any kind of birth certificate.

Hope it helps,

Regards

She applies, not you.

Passport.

She pays at the CIB bank, any branch and gives the receipt to the embassy.

She brings the confirmation paper

Passport

1 photo 5cmX5cm

Bank Statements

ALL ties that tie her to Egypt.

And have her call the embassy to give her an appointment.

Best of luck.

Thanks everyone. I applied on her behalf. She called and got the appointment. There was a mistake in the original application and she was advised to create a new application altogether and simply bring that new confirmation letter to the embassy at the interview time.

I guess we are set. I will send her some of my certificates and documents just so she has it with her.

Thanks everyone.
