Original Divorce Judgment??

Hi,

Did anyone else have issues with the Dublin Embassy in proving divorce? After his interview they wanted an original divorce judgment rather than photocopy. I was divorced in California last year, and sent the embassy the "original" judgment that the court gave me(photocopy of judgment, but with original stamps and signatures from court), but they are not accepting it as an original. In CA even the certified copies are simply a photocopy with an extra page attached at the end with a stamp. Nothing is fully original. Any advice?!? I'm not sure how else to prove it, only the court has the actual original.

Certified copy with a court seal/stamp is typically accepted as an original.

We used an original of my husbands and they made a photocopy of it at our embassy. It was all a photocopy cept for the last page that had signatures and an embossed/raised seal stamp on it from the government. Our interviewer flipped through it and felt the raised stamp on the last page and said "yep all in order". for our interview.
