I've never purchased through a TA, but when I go to Brasil I always purchase coverage through MedExassist for about $3.50/day. Here is a link to the website.

They have many different plans to choose from and I highly recommend having TA insurance especially if you are going to a less advanced region of the world (no offense intended)

Sorry...I just checked my document and I actually get Trav Med Abroad and it is a little more expensive at $4.00 daybut still worth it
