So watch out all you tax cheats! Including those of you that all of a sudden don't wanna pay taxes for things like wars (you previously supported wholeheartedly as well as unquestionably), pork, and tax breaks on those that do not produce jobs for the economy.

So, comparing apples to apples, what will be the total cost of the stimulus? That was the point of the original post.

What about the economic benefit of the stimulus? Estimates vary but even the WSJ concedes that the stimulus funds have a multiplier effect - i.e. you get more than a dollar worth of economic activity out of a dollar spent. How much economic benefit have we reaped from the 2 trillion or so dollars we have and will spend in Iraq?

Only problem is, we are not paying for any of it. Instead, ever since FDR's New Deal, we are spending our grandchildren's money. It going to suck being born after 1960.
