Thank OBX! I got my visa, booked my ticket and will be flying to Cali Dec 24th! :dance: Just in time for Christmas! :) Interview was fast and easy, I was in and out the embassy in less than 30 minutes! The easiest part of the whole process, actually! :D

Good luck to the rest of you still waiting for your interviews!!

Finally got my interview datee and getting to see my love after almost 9 months!!! Its on the 12th of jan!! I hope that the people at the embassy doesnt give us a hard time! I cant wait to see my love!!! YAY!!!

Hello Fellow Junies. Just dropping to see how everyone is. And tl let you know my fiancee had her Interview today, VISA APPROVED!!!! :dance::dance::dance:

It was a long stressful time, so glad I had all of you here. I wish all of the best of luck and speedy approvals! I am sure this thread will live for ahwile....of course the big hurdle of the approval is over, but then we all have AOS...etc etc.

Yayyy congrats to you!! That's great news!

After our NOA2 earlier this month, we got through the NVC in about 10 days - our case should be arriving in Malawi some time this week. I was in touch with the embassy while I was there and they said they normally have several K1 interview appointments available each month, so hopefully Thoko will be interviewing some time in January. I'm so glad things seem to be very speedy now! :)

K-1 Visa
05/17/2010 – Petition mailed to USCIS via certified return receipt.
05/27/2010 – NOA1 issued
06/03/2010 – Touch/NOA1 hard copy received in US Mail
10/27/2010 – 5 month mark
10/28/2010 – Spoke to USCIS representative – 'still pending'
11/04/2010 – Spoke to USCIS representative – 'still pending', but service request generated
11/05/2010 – Notified that background checks are not complete - looks like we're in for a looong wait...

When I check my current case status it says "On December 7, 2010, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)." It is now Dec 26th and I still haven't received it ( in Thailand ). Should I call the 1-800-375-5283 number or 1-603-334-0700 and what hours are they open and in what time zone so I can figure out when to call.

Yes it has gotten quiet with all the holidays and preperations for interview etc...

I sent in my packet 3 today and finished getting the rest of my papers done for my son and I .. all thats missing are the 10 passport pictures looking for a place where it wont cost me a fortune..

now to wait for packet 4 and then set my interview date and then court on the 17th of january to finalise papers for my son (if only my lawyer would answer my calls back)

I also got to see Jason during the holidays , spent our first christmas and new years together, he went home a few days ago and now back to this whole waiting game
