Holy Mother! That's so EXCITING!!!!! You see, they always wait until you're at the brink of despair... Ahahahahaha, I'm so happy for you! It's pretty surreal that things are tentatively moving along for us Julies, man, it just makes my day (and i just woke up and am still under the covers, so it's a great start.)

I sent my I-129 packet on July 7th and received my NOA1 hard copy ( I live in Thailand ) on July 30th and have heard nothing, no touches, nothing. I am trying to be patient after reading about some of you still waiting on June filings. Is there still a possibility of getting a RFI after this long a wait ?

Is it mandatory that you have three years of back taxes to show proof of income ? My only income is non taxable as a 100% disabled veteran and 6 years ago my accountant told me I don't have to file taxes so I haven't. Does anyone know if the Veterans Administration paperwork will be enough ?

Sorry for these strange questions I just don't know where to get this information...

Best of luck to everyone and Gods speed

Yes there's a possibility for RFE even after a very long wait IF they are not satisfied with your documents or if they need something from you. I hope you dont get one. In your case, you just have to show a proof (like an award statement for your disability and being a veteran) and state in your letter why you dont have to file for taxes. If you dont meet the required income, you need a co-sponsor or you can use your other assets. Goodluck and Godbless in your journey! :star:

Got a touch yesterday 11/15/2010 so I am hopeful. However my fiancee is getting cold feet and I am very concerned that she will not follow through :( Friday we talk again and I gave her a deadline to decide her future, wish me luck.

:( Sad to hear that. Maybe you need to talk to her heart to heart. I hope everything will work out to both of you. Goodluck and Godbless!

Congrats to all the touches--hang in there Gap1!! It'll come faster than you think! And hopefully yours will go straight to approval! The worst part of this RFE is that I feel like I failed; I tried so hard and double checked everything! Oh well! God's got a plan, and things move fairly quickly thru Madrid! Yay!

But...but...JlovesA is my support group. I'm happy for her but it's like we've been in prison 5 months together and she is getting freed. Who else am I going to trade cigarettes and barter laundry services with?
