how come you havent heard from nvc yet?

Should we have? the whole thing seems to be happening kind of backward for us.

Don't get me wrong - I'm very happy to have the NOA2... but if we had been notified on October 25 I could have been getting my medical exam and police clearance certificate sorted in the meantime so it's kind of added two and a half extra weeks to our process.

exactly, cause NVC contacts you to give you your case number the same way USCIS does with noas

hi. last february 20, 2010 we filed our k1 petition but was denied last may 10, 2010. we are denied because we only submitted the form I-129F. we did not include other required documents such as proof of relationship, g-325, cover letter, etc. we did not research well.

this june 18, 2010 we refiled and got our noa1 last june 25, 2010. we now asked for a professional help and completed our form I 129f with all the package needed in assembling it.

2 days ago, we called uscis and asked about our petition because its nearing the 5 months mark estimate which is on nov. 25, 2010, but they told my fiancee that we will wait for another 4 months in the usual 5 months wait because our k1 petition is refiled. hope this is not true...if it is true it means our noa2 wait will be 9 months and we can get it on march 2012...

can this be true???...pls help!!!thank you very much and congratulations to those who got their noa2!

I wouldn't listen to them. It seems like they've been needlessly scaring a lot of people lately.

Update and help for everyone when they do get their noa2. Thanks to another forum and the info of another member i called the department of state. The wait to talk to someone was a little long but worth it. I found out that our file was sent to the embassy in trinidad on the 10th of november. Its very difficult to get through with nvc and if you all would like to do the same as i did and get accurate info call the DOS at 202-663-1225 immediately press 1 then 0. They would forward you to a visa specialist and they ask you your name and DOB and your fiance's name and DOB along with case number. Hope you all get your noa2 soon and this info helps.

Kate and rob call the DOS.. Read my post above.

I sent my I-129 packet on July 7th and received my NOA1 hard copy ( I live in Thailand ) on July 30th and have heard nothing, no touches, nothing. I am trying to be patient after reading about some of you still waiting on June filings. Is there still a possibility of getting a RFI after this long a wait ?

Is it mandatory that you have three years of back taxes to show proof of income ? My only income is non taxable as a 100% disabled veteran and 6 years ago my accountant told me I don't have to file taxes so I haven't. Does anyone know if the Veterans Administration paperwork will be enough ?

Sorry for these strange questions I just don't know where to get this information...

Best of luck to everyone and Gods speed
