Minor question--I've been seeing a lot of statements like "will be needed later for AOS." Can someone explain what AOS is?? Sorry if this is a dumb question...

Adjustment of status, the paperwork you file after you get married on the K1. I'm on my phone so I can't see if you're doing the K1 but if you are, you should familiarize yourself with the AOS guide in the guides section so you know what to expect.

Met: December 2009

Married: April 2015

Received CR-1 visa: February 2017

POE (as IR-1): April 2017

Oath ceremony: November 2020

Ahh yes, ok! I've been familiarizing myself for awhile regarding AOS. I just wasn't sure what it stood for. Duh! Thanks for clarifying for me!

Don't even get me started! Then there's Christmas and New Year's and Los Reyes in Spain! There's so many days when offices are closed coming up....it's super depressing, but it has to be happening SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON. My fiance is feeling super desperate waiting in Spain....which makes me feel even crazier desperate...

Aw!! Ygr im sure it wouldnt be that long again! U will get your approval soon and then not too long again after that! As for me i am waiting on letter from nvc then interview.. As soon as we get the interview date my fiance is applying for no pay leave from his job for two years and then that will take another month. He is applying for that because since he has never been here he is coming through the visa and we will get married and live here. But if he doesnt like it. And since trinidad is my home country and lived there most my life we can move back. So he is securing his job. I am very happy that he willing to come out here to try. Dont think he will want to go back but its just in case. Plan B, hehe
