I posted this on the other June CSC....some encouragement.

Some statistical encouragement. I have been running some queries against the timelines, and have come out with some good news. Ok, so I looked at K1's at the CSC with an NOA1 date as follows:

2010-05-16 to 2010-05-21 4 out 5 with NOA2 recd

2010-05-23 to 2010-05 28 18 out of 22 with NOA2 recd...NOTICE THE BIG Spike in rec'd petitions...could explain the slow-down, I think we have to assume that this was analogous across the board, not just VJ members...

2010-05-30 to 2010-06-04 2 out of 15 with NOA2 recd

2010-05-06 to 2010-06-11 0 out of 12 with NOA2 recd.

I know the timeline stats are so small they are almost statistically insignificant, but, this does indeed show that they do in fact process them as they arrive, and further shows that trying to look at timelines in the aggregate is statistically difficult because the sampling is skewed by anomalous data. We also have to remember that CSC received 2,400+ I129F's in June of 2010! so our data is very very small indeed! However, these queries to show progression in the order rec'd, AND give me hope that I am indeed getting close! Pray for no RFE's.

and yes...I do have a little too much time on my hands today...

Gosh, I dont like this waiting game. It made me sick. I guess we have to wait for November then to follow up our case. We knew that this fiancee visa is 6-8months processing time but I guess seeing others got their NOA2 in 2 months or less made us impatient. I try to be patient but.......... Anyway have a great day everyone.

Wait CSV told my fiance that the Fiance Visa will take 5 months even on USCIS time line. I really don't know who to believe is it really 6-8 months or 5, which is it? Hopefully, its all worth the wait and that they would let us be with our husband coz this is really hard for both parties of not being together. PRAYING for all of us. God Bless.

There is really no way to determine how long it will take, It could be as fast as 3-4 months (very unlikely) or could take a year or more. There are a lot of variables that come into play. If you look at the long term mean average days for K1 over the last 4 years, Average time from NOA1 to interview and approval is about 200 days... about 6.5 months. Again, could be longer or shorter, a lot of things determine the outcome. God Bless

I think I'm just going to stop checking my case status for a while. There has been no change whatsoever in months. Maybe this way when something does happen it takes me by surprise and it won't feel so awful. If most of you haven't heard anything and are a month ahead of me it doesn't help my morale knowing I most likely won't hear anything for 100 years.

USCIS says up to 5 months to receive a decision... meaning NOA1 to NOA2. That does not include packet going to NVC and then Embassy and then Interview. But if you look at all the previous filers, getting your NOA2 usually is around 2-4 months.

There is def a stoppage or something... because if you look at the May filers almost all have gotten their NOA2 by now (2-4 months they waited)... but almost none of June have???

USCIS

Sent 6/21/10

Received 6/23/10

NOA1 6/29/10

NOA2 11/17/10 (141 days)

Sent to Embassy 11/29/10

It seems that June is not a good month for us all. I like to spend Christmas with my love but I think there will be problem if you go to US while waiting for the approval of the fiancee visa because it may cause some trouble when you apply for a green card. Been to US for 5 times since 2008 and he came here for maybe 6-8 times and we got tired of going back and forth so we like to be together permanently and then this thing happen. I think we have to sacrifice a lot just to be with the one we love.

There will be no problem visiting your fiance for Christmas. Just bring ties that prove you're coming back to Canada, and you will be fine. It will not have any negative impact on anything, at all.
