Quote from the USCIS site:

"The Vermont and California Service Centers will forward incorrectly filed petitions to the USCIS Dallas Lockbox for a period of 45 days until Sept. 17, 2010. After Sept. 17, 2010, petitions and fees submitted at the Service Centers will be returned to the applicant, with a note advising them of the correct filing location."

Can anybody tell me what on earth does that mean??? Does that mean they keep incorrectly filed petitions (are we talking about RFEs here or sending them back before NOA1 even?) are kept for 45 days and then they send them back??? I guess my English is failing me here. I don't understand it... Can anybody help?

It means that if people are sending their original I-129F petitions, to send them to Texas instead of Vermont or California. If people send them directly to Vermont or California (which would now be incorrect), it will be forwarded to Texas FOR them until September 17th. After that, anything sent directly to VSC or CSC will be returned to the petitioner and they'll have to send it to Texas themselves.

It's poorly written, so it could be interpreted the way you say, but I don't think so. After re-reading it, I think what it more likely means is that they are allowing a 45-day grace period between Aug 3 and Sep 17. Within that period, any I-129Fs that get received at VSC or CSC will be forwarded to the Dallas lockbox (where it should have been sent in the first place), and any I-129Fs received at VSC/CSC after that period (i.e. after Sep 17) will just be returned immediately.

NOA1 May 28th (CSC)

last touched June 16th

I just noticed the wait time went from 72 to 80 days today. I am trying to be patient, nothing else to do about it anyway, they already have our money. It is unlikely that contacting your Represenative will help (or look into it) unless it has been past 5 months, mine wouldn't.

To be honest I really do have a problem with the way the USCIS explains stuff. I find it very unclear and complicated. On the other hand I'm sure the German authorities aren't much better with their wording . Thanks for your help and good luck to all of us!

Filed May 25, NOA1 dated June 1st...got NOA2 around Aug 16th and its dated Aug 2nd, Aug 19 fiance received a letter from NVC saying the case has been fwd to the Montreal embassy. Aug 23rd received and sent out package 3. I don't understand why there are so many of you still waiting...but I singned up for the text and the email and have gotten nothing. The good news is everything is dated at least a week before you recieve it...so many of you may already have it....just not in hand. My finacee and I are Christians and have been praying the Lord intervene in our case as He sees we are ready to move forward in our relationship, we know His timing is perfect and asking for peace in our anxiety as we wait. I believe 100% it is through our faith we are moving foward and not "dumb luck". I hope His grace and faithfulness to us will shine through to all of you whoa re still waiting. Remember what God does for 1 he will do for all. Just give him your heart and open up.

Venassa, your post was inspirational for me! We are still waiting and will focus on receiving instead of putting our energy into worrying about it. You shape your own destiny by the attitude that you keep. All you have to do is have faith, be thankful about receiving and you will receive! Praying we all get our NOA2's soon!

I remember when I thought I had lucked out by getting into CSC as opposed to VSC.

Looking here, it seems as though no one on this site has recorded a NOA2 from CSC in the past 8 days, which is kind of weird.

Now you guys are scaring me. I was expecting it around Sept. 20th but now I'm thinking that may not happen.

I sent mine to CSC July 03rd. When did the change to mail to Dallas happen? I never saw anything about that and I stay up on this pretty damn good.

If your over your estimated approval date, call USCIS. I said this before but the man marrying my fiances cousin kept waiting when he filed in early May to Vermont. I told him something wasnt right and he should call. Sometimes the process just stalls and a call gets the issue corrected. Of course you wont get any info from them. He did that the next day. The agent said everything is just fine but then put him on hold for 10 minutes to "check on something". Agent came back and said again "everything looks fine". Next day, text received the I-129f was approved. Something wasn't right and the call just it fixed.

November 2009- Met online

May 13,2010- Visited in Cebu, Philippines

July 01, 2010 I-129f mailed to Cali
