I'm just worried about RFE's...I'd hate to be kept waiting months to find out they need more information, you know? I don't mind the wait if it's just for an approval, but if I get an RFE after all of this time I will be very frustrated.

Just a small piece of advice incoming:

Don't hold to what the trend has been when it comes to your K-1 Visa. Rob and I filed when there was a 5 month average from start to finish and we're at almost 7 months in the process(about a month of that was due to some errors on his end). Regardless, sometimes it all moves fast and then slows way back down.

That has been officially in place since August 3rd, I believe. And since May, Texas had been doing the intake anyway (Vermont and California would forward it there)... not sure it will result in much of a change.

Quote from the USCIS site:

"The Vermont and California Service Centers will forward incorrectly filed petitions to the USCIS Dallas Lockbox for a period of 45 days until Sept. 17, 2010. After Sept. 17, 2010, petitions and fees submitted at the Service Centers will be returned to the applicant, with a note advising them of the correct filing location."

Can anybody tell me what on earth does that mean??? Does that mean they keep incorrectly filed petitions (are we talking about RFEs here or sending them back before NOA1 even?) are kept for 45 days and then they send them back??? I guess my English is failing me here. I don't understand it... Can anybody help?

Because love has no borders...
