This waiting game is aweful but what can we do? as i know is that by november all the june filers can call and follow up our case to USCIS.its only 1 more month to go. I can still go and visit my love by christmas anyway or he should come and be here instead.its a hassle of going back and forth but theres always a prize for people who wait

(Copying this response from the 'any updates on CSC?' thread)

A little bit of discouraging news I got from the call center today regarding CSC:

I called and spoke to a representative named Christian. At first he didn't give me any more information than I could get from checking status updates online, and he was clearly just reading standard answers to me from his computer screen. I explained the situation and tried to press him for a little bit more information. He then told me that CSC was currently working on cases dated April 16th. I believe someone else here on VJ had called and got the exact information and posted it here about 1-2 weeks ago, which if that information is correct it means they basically haven't progressed *at all* in the last couple of weeks. He also said to expect a wait of at least another 42 days! I don't know if he meant that our case wouldn't be looked at for another 42 days or not to expect an approval for another 42 days...I should have asked but at that moment I was nearly in tears.

My gawd this is killing me. Our NOA1 was dated May 27th. I know we all need to wait our turn and it will happen when it happens, but :crying:

sounds realistic, but 42 days would put them over five months. Also, it appears that most of the April CSC folks are already approved. And, there have been a quite a few May filers (early May) filers approved. So Im skeptical about the April 16th answer.

In any Case, that is not good news....not sure I believe everything he told you....BUT, CSC is obviously not doing anything.

Yeah, I have no idea where he came up with that particular number, but it definitely wasn't the kind of number I was hoping to hear. :(

on the one hand I want to chock it up to how pathetic the Call Center folks are....have heard so many stories of them just tell people random/mis-information. On the other hand, im scared to death the guy was actually telling the truth...Clearly nothing is getting done at CSC.... :(

Hello all, I know this may not mean much to most of you. With the delays from USCIS this does free up a little more time for NVC to process your paperwork after you get your NOA2. Also, I want to mention that someone else I know got their NOA2 a week before mine. They notified me Sept 29th that the US Embassy in Manila was open for interviews from Oct 4th to the end of the month. This is probably due to the slow down of K-1 and K-3 being processed. So, it may take longer for the NOA2 but it may be quicker for the rest of the process (NVC & interviews). - Dave

That is pretty optimistic...nothing is ever that easy, unfortunately. Not with immigration, anyway. :crying:

Welcome aboard. Yes, the CSC is on some sort of hiatus with approving I129f's. For the most part if you filed after 15 May...you are still waiting. There have been some sporadic approvals of late May Filers, but very few. And even less June Filers. We are all pretty much in riot mode around here. I am at exactly 4 months post NOA1 tomorrow. At this point, I'm just looking forward to when I can call and inquire, call my congressional reps, etc.

Good luck in your journey.
