So renewed my drivers license today - got a new one for 8 years, weird, thought it would only be extended for 1 year as per the extension letter (which they were not interested in seeing, just my green card).

Constantly amazed at the somewhat arbitrary way things are done, oh well, at least I got it.

Oh I know what you mean; I remember having to go to two different DMV offices when I first got my driver's license because they wouldn't issue it.. 8 years is pretty nice though! Congrats!

mandaNchris, I'm sure everything will be fine; the affidavits was a good idea, I didn't even send any! Keep us posted when you get you're notice!

Got my EAD card in the mail today.

We actually got it sent out today because Sunday night when I went on the website to double check we had the right forms and the right amount on the check, I seen that there was a new form so Chris had to print it off at work on Monday because we don't have a printer. So it was sent today. Should be there tomorrow. I hope we don't get in trouble for it being late. I'm so bad about putting things off and then forgetting about them. I need to work on that.

Got my letter in the mail saying they got my stuff and extending my visa for a year on May 23rd. Now I get to wait to hear when my bio appointment is.

Still waiting for the card to show up in the mail... I was starting to get worried that it got lost but it seems card production has stalled for april approvals :S Still hoping it shows up before the 60 day deadline (June 15) and I don't have to deal with calling USCIS.

Unrelated fun fact: My wife crosses the border every 2 weeks or so and CBP only notices the card is expired about 20% of the time. I thought maybe it shows up in the computer that it is extended but why would they ever bother to ask for the letter if that was the case.

I wonder why it's taking so long for the card? I don't remember it taking that long when we first got it, do you? How did you find out about the card production slowing down?

And that is strange, I figured all that stuff was automatic!

It only took 1-2 weeks for the first one to come.

I was looking at timelines and no one put they received their card with an april CSC approval. Also this thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/428795-green-card-production-stalled-for-csc-approvals-in-april/

Got a text msg. and email last night around 8:30pm saying that on May 30th my card is in production :) YaY.....One step out of the way!!!

Hope all is well and hope everyone else hears something soon too.
