Got my EAD card in the mail today.

Hi all - here I am, bringing up the rear, again! Just mailed off our ROC package this morning.

Vero, wanted to thank you again for your help with the submission. I too found it easier than all the other forms/documentation we've had to provide, but as usual procrastinated and stressed about it just as much, lol!

Glad to hear everyone seems to be doing well, us too. Can't believe I've been here for over 2 years now...time flies!

Thanks Vero! Just checked, they received our package yesterday, the 25th - now lets see how fast they cash that cheque! Haha - yup still spelling it 'cheque', I refuse to give in and do 'check'!

Woo! Got my I-797 March 17th, and my Bio is scheduled for April 10th! Yay!

EDIT: I picked up my I-797 March 17th, but that's a Sunday, so let's say Friday the 16th :P

Hello August crew! I don't know if you remember, but I am one of you too!

I've been kind of busy lately...we had a baby in December.

I have no idea when I sent my paperwork in for ROC, but I had my biometrics on February 14th (an easy date to remember).

Hope you are all doing great, and have settled into the US smoothly!

AOS

POE @ Toronto Pearson - 08/12/10

Civil Ceremony - 08/27/10

Applied for SSN in married name - 09/06/10 (I was told it will take 4 weeks to get the background check cleared and an additional 2 weeks to receive my card)

AOS/EAD/AP sent with FedEx - 09/25/10

E-Notice From Chicago - 10/05/10

I-797C, NOA1 Received - 10/08/10

SSN card received (FINALLY!)- 10/23/10

Biometrics appointment - 10/28/10

EAD Approved - 11/19/10 (USCIS Website Notice)

AP Approved & Received - 11/22/10

EAD Received- 11/23/10

Interview - 02/07/11 APPROVED!

I am now a U.S. Permanent Resident!!

And received my I-797 on the 29th!

Now waiting for my bio appt., which I'm a little worried about - last time they couldn't get a proper 'read' on my prints...had to go twice to the local immigration office, failed both times, then they gave up and sent me to another office affiliated with the FBI where they were finally able to get a good set. Anyone else had this happen to them? Bit irritating having to go numerous times and having it delay the process.
