No touches on our app since 9/20/2012.. Nothing even after bios were taken.. Looks like the wait will be 6 months.

I remember when I filed the the I29F the posted wait time was 6 months but it only took 2--doesn't look like that will happen this time. Not that it matters much as she has the extension letter.

As a side note, I had to renew my US passport. I had my new one in about 2 weeks of mailing the app in. I was impressed.

Hi Val erie, congrats on sending in it, one step closer!

2 weeks is not bad! I see people complain that it's usually much longer, isn't it?

Got my biometrics appointment letter yesterday. My appointment is at 3:00PM, I'm going to try and get there early to get it out of the way. Anyone ever tried that?

I only showed up 15 minutes early and was taken right away, I was done at the time i was sapost to be there. I guess you can try and see, if ya'lls service center was as dead as ours, I don't see a problem.

I went for my biometrics appointment yesterday. We were 3 hours early, but they took me in anyways. It was a brand new facility in Norfolk, VA. The staff was so nice, very friendly. We were in and out in 10 minutes. Two bad the drive there is a good 2 hours! One step closer!

Got back from my trip to Canada, just wanted to let ya'll know that my expired G/C with extention letter worked fine, just handed them to the border patrol, he read over the NOA and asked some simple questons and let us through with no troubles. So if anyone is planning a trip soon, it's not a pain at all to use.

Glad everyones biometrics went well :)

Good to know it's that simple! How long were you in Canada? Did you get a lot of snow?

I'm going to the DMV to attempt getting my driver's license renewed; last time I was there two years ago with the I757 (or something like that) I had to go to two different offices because they said I wasn't allowed to drive. Should be interesting!

Sent in my ROC package to California, on Monday 03/11, they received it Wednesday 03/13 and cashed the check on Thursday :)

It felt good putting that package together; after all the work we put in to the I-129F, and then the I-485, this was a breeze! Put it all together in a couple days, with a few days to gather all the evidence and stuff.

Thanks for posting about your trip J&J (expired GC with extension letter), I might have to do the same thing for my buddy's wedding. Good to read all these updates from everyone, it's been a long journey!
