Awesome Rose416! I got my pics at Walgreens, 8.99$ for 6 of them, thought it was a pretty good deal! I should be sending mine in a week or so, just waiting on a couple things first!

How is everyone else doing with it?

You know, I went and got my SSN 10 days after arriving, and I didn't run into any trouble whatsoever... Then I went back right after I got married to get it in my married name, and no issues there either... Wonder if each state is different that way...

Hey everyone, I have a totally off topic question: How do you get a virus off your computer without having to pay Best Buy 300$? I have this stupid Trojan Horse virus, and I wonder if I can just reboot my computer, installing Vista again, loosing all my files and music and be done with it?

Anyone ever had the same problem?

Oh, and fyi, don't put anything on Craig's list, that's how this virus got into my computer...

Hey guys! I am just getting all my shizz together and will be sending out my package on the 11th after my I-693 is completed. So far all I can say is the K1 was good practice for this stage haha. I am hoping to get my AP by the first week of Dec so I can attend a friends wedding, and go home for Christmas. My only concern is that my NOA2 from my petition back in the day was stolen and we wrote to USCIS explaining that we cannot afford the $340 fee for a new one and requested the fee be waived as it was stolen off of government property (US Army Base)... in the meantime we are making a claim through the base to get the money back for the stolen items, including the NOA2. My home insurance advised us to not make a claim because after the $1000 deductible, our home insurance would go up and we'd end up paying back triple what everything is worth. Good times. Hope the General is in a good mood when he gets our case haha.

See profile for our K-1 Visa/AOS story from 2010-2011Apparently we love USCIS/NVC so much we left and are doing it again! This time giving IR-1 a whirl. Rock on immigrators.

07/09/2014 sent in IR-1 packet to Chicago Lockbox

07/16/2014 NOA1

07/17/2014 check cashed by USCIS

10/01/2014 found out we are expecting baby #2 June 2015!

12/15/2014 NOA2

12/30/2014 Case received by NVC

03/23/2015 Received Case and Inv # from NVC after many calls and bogus excuses.

03/24/2015 AOS payment accepted by NVC

04/09/2015 IV payment finally accepted by NVC after the set the wrong fee and took weeks to correct it.

*many more delays thanks to the agency processing my fingers prints to the RCMP and the post office losing our mail*

05/20/2015 Packet sent to NVC via UPS, eta May 28.

06/16/2015 Baby #2 due - homebirth in Scottsdale, AZ

Wow! Crazy stuff! Hopefully they'll realize that 340$ for a piece of paper is ridiculous, but the chances of that are slim I bet... Gosh, crazy how much money we' ll end up spending when all this is over! Good luck anyways, let us know what happens

Hello August Crew!

Sorry I've been absent a little while, been busy getting married in Texas! We did the civil ceremony at my husband's parents house...it was wonderful his Mom organised everything from the flowers to caterer to a photographer. She kinda went overboard for what was supposed to be a small ceremony!! In any case it was fun. Now we're back in California and enjoying married life! We have another celebration coming up in April...destination wedding in Mexico!

I have yet to receive the marriage certificate...the preacher didn't let us hand carry it to the county office, he said he had to mail it in himself. Oh well, he was a very nice man! So we're hoping to have it early next week. We also arranged from my husband's parents to go pick up certified copies of our certificate and they will fedex those to us.

Did everyone send it certified copies from the county office, or just a photocopy of the marriage certificate?

Hope everyone is well and enjoying married life or soon to be married life!! Its an awesome feeling :-D :luv::luv::dance:

Sorry to hear that Vero! I'm no computer expert, but when I had a PC I used Norton Antivirus to get viruses off my computer. Do you have a subscription to an antivirus software?

Hi Wishing!

Yep, I got a certified copy of our mariage certificate for like 2$ and put it in the AOS package.

And, well the computer SEEMS to working fine right now, so I'm gonna knock on wood and see what happens!

Hope you guys are all doing good! Keep in touch!

Alright guys, after 3 weeks of being annoying with it, I am going to send my AOS this week, for SURE! Yeah!

To all of you who have not started yet, don't worry, it's not that hard! And I got a lot of tips from Kimbear so if you have any questions, write them down! I probably already have asked them all! And thanks nickbits too!

How's everyone doing with everything? I finally got rid of my car this weekend, after realizing that it would be impossible to import it. And I got an amazing ....(drum roll).... 200$ for it! Haha! I'm bying drinks for everyone!

I POE'd Sept. 15th. Went to apply for my SNN on Friday Oct. 1st and the woman said I was not in the system. Boy they sure do like to take their time. She told me to try in another couple of weeks *sigh*

Life is like a roller coaster. Hold on tight and enjoy the ride!

Gosh, that sucks. I find this so strange though, I went to get my SSN number 7 business days after my POE, and had no problem whatsoever! I think someone else was saying they had to wait... Well, at least you'll get it quick once you're in the system.

How did your POE go? And where did you POE again?

My POE went great. took an hour and was only asked if the info on the papers were correct. then she called me back up to get my finger prints and photo. then of course when she was finished I had to pay them the six dollars for the I-94 and collect my passport. The one guard that was watching over the womans shoulder said something about Alex needing a visa and the lady told him no he doesnt need one, hes already an American. I POE'd at the Ambassador bridge between Windsor Ontario and Detroit Mi. Then it was a 14 hour drive to Georgia (from having to stop and change Alex, would have only been 11 or 12 hours if it was just Chris and I)
