Congrats Tater&#######, and thanks for all the good reviews/info.!

Vero, you're cracking me up, we're too peas in a pod...I absolutely can't stand not being in control of things. That's why, while going through all this immigration turmoil and in lieu of working, I've appointed myself Master Chef, Chief Laundry Do-er, and Cleaner Extraordinaire :)

Quick question re: interview...did I read somewhere that we need to bring proof that we have health insurance? If that's the case I'm screwed - Sean's self employed so can't be put on his, insurance agent I went through told me he can't sign me up for anything till I've been in the country for 6 months...is that crazy or what? Obviously I'm not the first person in this situation so can't understand why it's so difficult/why someone doesn't offer this kind of interim insurance.

HAHAHA ya Vero I think you are definitely over analyzing it! Just relax... breathe... haha. I am a control freak with things too but for some reason was not worried about this. They would have stopped us at K1 if it was a problem. This 2nd interview is more just a formality to me if anything.

Brenda, it's not mandatory, but some people like having it to show as proof of relationship if they are under their partner's health insurance.

See profile for our K-1 Visa/AOS story from 2010-2011Apparently we love USCIS/NVC so much we left and are doing it again! This time giving IR-1 a whirl. Rock on immigrators.

03/23/2015 Received Case and Inv # from NVC after many calls and bogus excuses.

03/24/2015 AOS payment accepted by NVC

04/09/2015 IV payment finally accepted by NVC after the set the wrong fee and took weeks to correct it.

 Brenda2010, that's exactly what I've been doing too! Maybe we could start a blog and take over Martha Stewart! I do have a lot of tips on how to dissolve stain just with vinegar!!! Maybe we could have a show on the OWN network, haha!

Thanks Tater&####### for the reassurance, I do over-analyse everything, I can't help it, it's an OCD thing... Chris has to count everything he does, so I guess we fit well together!

About the health thing, Rose416 said that it was brought up at her interview, and she explained why she has no coverage right now, and if I remember, her interview guy said that they understand that you can't get everything in a span of 5 months...

I'm in the same situation, if Chris were to put me on his insurance, it would be 400$ a month because I'm unemployed. So if this comes up at our interview, I'll explain that I'm waiting to find work so I can either be put on his insurance or get my own through work.. Makes sense, no?

Yup, perfect sense!

And there you go again with the similarities- I clean with vinegar all the time...quick, call the network!! :)

I feed my dog Apple Cider Vinegar and clean his paws with it to stop the smell. Not only does it help the PH balance digestively to eat it, but stops the urine from killing your grass and stops his paws from having "frito feet". Since he matured he has smelly feet. It's like their version of sweat, marks territory and ####### like that. All I know is it stinks so we feed him ACV and clean his paws with it, makes a huge difference.

Oh wow, never thought of that!!! Do you dilute it in water before you give it to him? And what do you mean by frito feet? Like cracked?

I was trying to calm myself down, thinking about how bad I was before the K-1 interview and how well it went! It helps! I just wish J&J were there too this time

Don’t worry Vero you guys will do great . It’ll be over before you know it and you’ll be jumping for joy! But that is easier said, this I know. I would be pacing the room fifty million times till the 10th comes around. heh It’ll all be behind you soon. We will be there in spirit routing’ ya’ll on.. Hopefully no loud speakers this time. :P

As for that network…Join me in, I’m a vinegar freak too. Also, lately I’ve been a huge HGTV freak..lol..I’m totally ready to build and decorate our own new house. For now I’m sticking to scrap booking, card making and planting flowers.

I add it to his water, but he will drink it straight up too haha. About 2tbsp a day.

Frito feet is just referring to the smell... I find it more like just plain old bad odor but thats what people call it haha. Its just the hormonal smell that excretes from their feet, leaving their mark.

We are sending in our AOS I promise lol We have just been really slow making sure we have all the right stuff and right forms. I'm not going to apply for AP. I figure it was pointless. We were supposed to get my photos last weekend but we forgot about them because of our son's birthday. This weekend we couldnt go get them because we were busy friday packing for our son to go visit Canada for two weeks. Saturday we drove (left at 8 am and got there at 4pm) to the KY/Ohio boarder to meet up with my sister, brother in law, nephew, aunt and her new baby (hes 3 months old and this is my first time meeting him), we had dinner with them and visited for about 2 hours. We got back home at 2am. boy was that a long trip. Three hours after leaving home I realized that I forgot our son's passport. I was so mad at myself. Luckily I still had his Canadian birth certificate in my purse, so I gave that to my sister to use to get him across. She said the boarder guy seemed confused as to what relation everyone in the car had to each other and that he asked my three year old how long he we going to be in Canada and when he was going to see mommy and daddy again. My son told him "no, I dont wanna" lol They made it through and he is now in Canada. We plan on express posting our son's passport and a note saying we are expecting our son back on the 19th to my sister but are worried about sending something that important through the mail. I am so mad at myself for forgetting his passport.

So I plan on getting our AOS sent out this week. It is a goal of mine. I need this to be done with lol. I want to go tomorrow to get my pictures done but then that means I'll have to go to work with Chris and it is so boring there. So maybe I'll wait till friday when Chris has the day off. We'll see how it goes. Our AOS will be sent off no later then friday tho.

Congrats Tater&####### on your approval! Thanks for the review also. I hope ours goes that smoothly. Well actually I hope we get lucky like J&J and dont have to go for an interview lol Anyways congrats again.

Tater&#######, Thanks for the info about frito feet!

mandaNchris, If you send it through UPS or FedEx, you'll be ok. Chris had his passport sent to him when he was first in Quebec and hadn't met him yet. He got it fine. You probably want a service that you can track, definitely... And USPS tracking system is the worst! It never gets updated! Maybe pay the extra and go with UPS... And let us know when you mail your AOS in, and take your time to do so, you don't want to forget anything!

Alright, well I'm in full-blown stress mode, with 3 days to go until my interview. Woke up at 4 and couldn't fall back to sleep... It's gonna be a loooooong 3 days I can tell you that! Chris is already exasperated!

Aw Vero don't worry! We're all going to laugh at you so much (in a nice way) when you get back and tell us how much you were over worried!

Manda and Chris; just send the thing! HAHAHA. It's way easier than the K1, and you have all the forms already. I would apply for AP anyways, I got mine almost 2 months before and it was nice to have. In case there is an emergency or something.

Yeah I agree with you... You never know if someone is going to get sick or something... And, it's not that much more paperwork to do. If you have time, maybe reconsider... Is it that much more money wise though? I didn't think of that part...

Gosh, Tater I hope I am wrong and I will gladly laugh at this whole thing too! I just want it to be done!!!

No the AP is free when sent in with AOS so it wouldnt be anything extra. I just feel like because we waited so long to send in our AOS stuff that they would be raising an eyebrow as to why it suddenly matters if I can go to Canada in case of an emergency. Maybe I am over thinking everything.

Nah... I don't think it matters... As long as you file in time, I don't think they will look at the exact date and make a big deal out of it... That's just my opinion though, you guys should do what you feel is right, trust your gut feeling!

Hey guys - just mailed my AOS etc last Monday and today got an email notice from USCIS...that's the NOA1 right? Pretty quick. So next they'll send me a biometrics letter/appt.? And then interview or no interview? Weird how some people get interviews and others not...
