I have a question for nickbits and Rose416... After having received the e-mail of approval for you EAD and AP, did you receive another e-mail the day after or so stating 'post-decision activity'? I got one for each form, and I'm a little worries as to what it means...

Hi Vero,

I don't remember getting an email from USCIS letting me know about my EAD. The day it arrived, my landlady was close to accidentally throwing my mail out! I almost never got my card! I just checked the USCIS site, and my status is still 'post decision activity.' So, don't worry about your situation. Your card will be in the mail before you know it.

I'm still waiting for my AOS. No status changes as of yet. I'm starting to panic....Is it possible to get an RFE but still receive your EAD and AP?

Got my EAD card in the mail today.

Thanks Rose416, I actually received the AP today! Looks very official! I'm sure there's nothing wrong with your file, it's just another waiting game! Like my mom would say, no news is good news! :whistle:

I am curious about what ID I should use traveling to Puerto Rico. My drivers license says in big bold letters "TEMP. VISITOR EXP: 12-10-2011", as per the DMV I cannot get 'regular' one until my greencard is approved. Do you think this will be a problem with them? I will be brining my US Army spouse ID card, passport just in case and marriage license. I just worry I'll get someone dumb (which happens sometimes) who thinks I need to go to international customs or something even though I came in from NY haha. Justin's boss at work said that he can't go to PR because he needs pre-authorized request and briefing to leave the US... he laughed and said that PR is a US territory. Then the guy got all rude saying that it's not considered domestic blah blah blah so Justin topped off the convo stating "Well sir my wife isn't allowed to leave the US because of her Visa... and she can go to PR". End of convo.

Our flights are booked for Jan 2-13. Figured I may as well be gone for my birthday since I can't go home for Xmas or my bday (which is on the 12th). Maybe I'll be lucky and family will come visit that weekend. We're renting a car in PR and staying in a few different areas. So excited - we needed something because things have been going to sh*t this days. If I don't hear from USCIS by the time I am back I will contact someone to find out why my case disappeared. Including why I had to send the same information twice as well, which was probably the culprit for the slow down.

Valerie - glad to hear your RFE was nothing serious. I hope things go quickly. Let me know if they are processing your RFE in MO and your EAD/AP in another state like mine. I am interested in comparing.

03/23/2015 Received Case and Inv # from NVC after many calls and bogus excuses.

03/24/2015 AOS payment accepted by NVC

04/09/2015 IV payment finally accepted by NVC after the set the wrong fee and took weeks to correct it.

*many more delays thanks to the agency processing my fingers prints to the RCMP and the post office losing our mail*

05/20/2015 Packet sent to NVC via UPS, eta May 28.

06/16/2015 Baby #2 due - homebirth in Scottsdale, AZ

Happy Holidays everyone. I think we are waiting until after the holidays now to send in our AOS package. I figure there is no point in sending it in now. I am very excited for Christmas. Waking up in the morning with my two year old son and husband to watch our sons amazement at the gifts under the tree. It is going to be our first Christmas with just the three of us. :luv:

Well just got a text today that my EAD case has been updated...and it says Card/Document Production on the status page. Says the card production was ordered on December 21st...so hopefully should get the card any day!? And then I can FINALLY begin changing my name on EVERYTHING!!

It took 8-10 days from "Card/Document Production" for us to have teh card in hand. You should get another update for "post decision activity" when they physically mail it.

Good news Wishing! Things are moving along! nickbits, have you received the green card yet? You wife must be so excited!!! How has it been for her to find a job? What about you Rose416?

I'm waiting to actually get the card before I start sending in applications and resumes. I hope something turns up!

Hang in there Tater&#######, things will work out in the end... And I feel that what you have for your trip should be sufficient. Have a good honeymoon!!!

Guess I have to start looking for a job! No more housewife-ing for me! (I'm secretly going to miss it though!!!)

Katrina got her green card today! So no worrying about her AP still being valid when we come back from Canada after the holidays.

At first when I went through the mail I didn't think it had come--no normal USCIS envelopes that everything else has come in but it was in a larger priority mail envelope.

Katrina got her green card today! So no worrying about her AP still being valid when we come back from Canada after the holidays.

At first when I went through the mail I didn't think it had come--no normal USCIS envelopes that everything else has come in but it was in a larger priority mail envelope.

Oh and she hasn't starting looking for work yet.

She was planning to start after xmas but I'm not sure what the plan is now since I'm not allowed to drive for 6 months and will need rides occasionally.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Our big dinner was a success, everything was delicious. Enjoyed plenty of wine and tequila :)

I always put up my decorations around the 1st of Dec but once Christmas is over I like to see them go haha... so today we took down the decorations. 6 more days until the honeymoon... yipee. Hopefully I will come back to some movement on my AOS.
