Sooo.....I got my AOS and AP hardcopy in the mail yesterday, but I didn't get my EAD hardcopy yet...It's driving me bonkers..lol..I hope it didn't get lost in the mail...Just thought i'd share :P

Got my EAD card in the mail today.

Mine only took about two weeks from the time they got it, I sent mine UPS Standard, but USPS would work just as good too:)I only sent mine UPS because the office is open later. Just so you know you do

Ahhhh J&J, I hope it's only the mail... It's Christmas time too so I'm sure it's pretty hectic in the post offices!

As for me, well I received an e-mail tonight telling me that my EAD has been approved and that the card is in production! :dance: Now, on to the AP please!!! The actual green card would be better, but I'm not gonna start whining!

Great updates everyone!

Nickbits so happy you are out of the hospital and that you guys had great results at your AOS interview, congrats!

Wow Vero congrats on the EAD that is awesome! I was just about to give up on any approvals on anything in December with the holidays coming up this is good news. Yup gotta start that job hunting:)

I'm preparing for the AOS interview January 11th, but really do think that I'll likely not get my EAD/AP before then...but who knows! I actually upped my job searching this week...and got a job offer earlier this week! I have to say I am in the health care field however and they need a lot of health care people everywhere, so I was never too worried about finding a job. Never the less its in a clinic that I am excited to be a part of so its been a busy and great week!! :star: And they are of course fine with waiting out for the Green card interview and all that as I can't work b4 all thats gone through! But feels good to have some options already :innocent:

Happy before Christmas week to ALL!! And congrats to those I have not mentioned there have been lots of updates this week :)

J&J, I would wait another week, print your NOA1 e-mail and call them. Maybe you can get them to send you another hard copy since you received the other ones. I know that when I received my hard copies, all the enveloppes were open, as if they weren't sealed properly. That made me very mad, but at least I got them I guess...

Wishing, congrats on the job offer! That's very good news! Unfortunately, I have to get my degree and teaching licensed translated before I can get them to an office that will assess all my credits (in order for me to get the VA teaching licence). This means that I have to look for anything decent, not in my field for the moment. Which sucks, s'cuse my language...

On a more positive note, I received an e-mail saying that my AP was approved and sent on December 14th. The only thing weird was that the e-mail said like 'post-decision activity'... I don't know what that means really, I guess I'll see when I received it in the mail...

I am doing ok. Still getting occasional headaches but they are getting less frequent. I have another MRI scheduled next year to check on my brain lesions but other than that nothing.

I am hoping Katrina's greencard comes before the 23rd. We are planning to go back to Canada and I'm not confident her AP is still valid despite with the interviewer told us.

I ended up getting it yesterday, I feel much better now. I know what you mean about the envelopes hardly being sealed, they could have totally opened and we could have lost everything that was inside with all our valuable information in it...SCARY!!! Buttt it didn't soo it's all Groovy!!

Congrats Vero! And congrats Wishing on the job offer! You girls got some good news in the immigration process but still nothing here. It's pretty depressing. Got some more bad news from home yesterday too, so things are extremely frustrating right now. Hopefully Vero since your NOA1 is just before mine it means mine is coming soon. No way it'll arrive in time for Christmas though so I can't go home. But EAD would be nice so I can get my EI going.

See profile for our K-1 Visa/AOS story from 2010-2011Apparently we love USCIS/NVC so much we left and are doing it again! This time giving IR-1 a whirl. Rock on immigrators.

07/09/2014 sent in IR-1 packet to Chicago Lockbox

07/16/2014 NOA1

07/17/2014 check cashed by USCIS

10/01/2014 found out we are expecting baby #2 June 2015!

12/15/2014 NOA2

12/30/2014 Case received by NVC

03/23/2015 Received Case and Inv # from NVC after many calls and bogus excuses.

03/24/2015 AOS payment accepted by NVC

04/09/2015 IV payment finally accepted by NVC after the set the wrong fee and took weeks to correct it.

*many more delays thanks to the agency processing my fingers prints to the RCMP and the post office losing our mail*

05/20/2015 Packet sent to NVC via UPS, eta May 28.

06/16/2015 Baby #2 due - homebirth in Scottsdale, AZ

Oh Lord Vero I know what you mean I went through credentialing almost 2 years ago on the off chance I would end up working in US...that helped me last year when I worked temporarily in Washington last year. In any case...that whole process bites nails especially if you need stuff translated. Anyways if I can offer any help your way PM me cuz although its a different profession I'm sure some of my experience might help out:)

nickbits, glad you're feeling better! I hope they can let you know what it is you're dealing with. It must be worriesome to not really know what's going on... Stay strong and keep us posted!

Tater&#######, when it rains it pours, doesn't it? Hope you can find strenght to help the ones back home (F) Hopefully you hear something soon about the AP and EAD, and if you can't make it home for Christmas, maybe you can go right after or early in the new year! Stay positive and strong, and you'll see that every cloud has its silver lining! (well, aren't I just full of quotes tonight!)

Wishing, thanks for being there! I might just need someone who's gone through it! I'm just realizing that working in something that is not my field is not going to be fun, but I need to in order to pay for the translations and fees for the credits... I guess I'm gonna miss our Quebec outlook on work... I'm not going to like the crazy hours here, that's for sure... As long as I don't have to do retail, I should be ok. I'm really scared and depressed in a way, because there's SO MUCH work in my field back home, and now here I am hitting a wall... Everything will work out ok, right? RIGHT? :wacko:

I have a question for nickbits and Rose416... After having received the e-mail of approval for you EAD and AP, did you receive another e-mail the day after or so stating 'post-decision activity'? I got one for each form, and I'm a little worries as to what it means...

the rfe was because i used the wrong affidavit of support form!

so, i sent that off this morning. no big deal and hopefully smooth sailing here on out..
