We got a touch the day after the bio appointment.

Just checked USCIS and got touched for my AOS and EAD on 11-24! But AOS is still in the 'acceptance' step :wacko:

Mine was touched the day of my apt. Prob will be delayed because of the holiday. Or in your case it seems the website is just useless haha. My RFE return still can't be traced through UPS so I plan on visiting Monday to see what their problem is.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving! I cooked an entire dinner from scratched and it turned out fantastic!

Got back from our trip to Canada last night using her AP. No issues but it took them longer to process the thing than it did when she entered on the K1! I think we were in secondary for 1.5 hours and it wasn't that busy in there. Luckily now that it is stamped, I don't think we need to go to secondary again.

I was wondering if it was going to be an issue that her AP was in her married name and her passport her maiden name but they didn't question it or anything.

Other than the long wait that's awesome! Glad to hear everything is working out for your guys.

I on the other hand, still cannot track my UPS package so off to the store I go to make sure they actually sent it out!

Phew! Yes they did. It was received in Lees Summit on Wednesday... so they probably have been enjoying the holidays and not updating the website I am just relieved it is back in their hands.

We had a good thanksgiving, but like many holidays like that, Chris' family has a hard time since Chris lost his brother a year ago. But we managed ok, thanks to several 7&7s and glasses of wine! Christmas will be even harder since he was born on December 24th.

Enough about depressing stuff! Hope everyone had a good thanksgiving, Ken&Kate and Valerie78, did you receive your NOA1 yet?

we've received the email notifications and the check was cashed - no hard copy noa1 yet...anyday now.

i will say that waiting together is much better than waiting apart..i still find myself in shock kind of, like - is that all really behind us???

You know, as much as there is a lot of uncertainty with this AOS stuff, I'm so glad to be home and be done with the waiting on Montreal part... Such a relief!!!

Did you guys notice that there doesn't seem to be a lot of interviews for November and December? I guess with people setting up their own interview dates, we won't hear as much about it...

Same here: received 4 emails, 2 for the I-765, 2 for the I-485, and both were emailed on Nov 23rd .. No hard copy yet, and the last touch on either was Nov 24th..

I can't wait to get my EAD and actually get a job!

Good to see everything is going well for everyone. We are about to start filling out the AOS papers and hopefully send them in soon. We havent even sent in our marriage certificate yet. Dang holidays lol Chris was supposed to mail it yesterday on his way to work but I dont think he did. He went to the bank and cashed the checks we got from our wedding. The ladies at the bank all ran up to him and gave him a hug and said congrats on getting married. They have known him sense he was a baby. Thanksgiving was great. We had a smoked turkey. First time for me. It was very good. My older sister, brother in law, nieces and nephew stayed for thanksgiving dinner. Then they left around 7pm and took my son back to Canada with them. He doesnt seem to miss me. My sister had to bribe him to talk to me lol. He'll be home on Dec. 4th. I miss him lots. The wedding went really well. Its nice seeing that ring on Chris' finger <3 I am sure I'll be back soon with questions about these papers. I am not looking forward to this stuff.

mandaNchris, the AOS package (for us) was about half as annoying as the original K-1 package, mostly because we've done it all before. Gather tax transcripts, fill out forms, photocopy stuff, etc. It's just a pain BUT, it's a nice feeling when it's all sent off (except for the cheque that's enclosed)

Vero and Chris, I just received my I-485 and I-765 NOA hard copies today in the mail Also, I didn't file for AP, so you can cross that off the list

Glad to hear from you mandaNchris! Glad everything went well!

As for the AOS, like ken and kate said it's not as hard as the I-129 package, but it was still a pain in the b*tt to assemble. A lot of it you already have from the K-1... It takes a day or so to fill in everything, it's just all the other stuff they want with it that takes a little bit. But you'll be fine, don't worry! And feel free to ask all the questions you want!
