glad to see every one is getting moved along, after we sent the I-864ez they wanted more info, forgot to include something, in the meantime, i changed my passport to my married name, applied for police cert, and now getting my ds-230 together, once the IV bill is paid, i can send that in.

hoping to get it an interview by april/may (fingers crossed)

just to let people know, if you do get all your paperwork ready you can be done with NVC pretty quickly, i think, they have responded to us pretty well with emails etc, and as most stuff is done online, its good.

me and my husband have been taking time with getting paperwork together etc, so its been taking longer than it should.

:blush:

We are follow August filers with transfer from CSC to TSC. Got approved Mar 01 but TSC sent to file to NVC Mar 07. Is this unusual, it has been a week and how long before i can call and speak with an operator at NVC to get case number and provide emails? Is the electronic filing faster, just need some info. The waiting is terrible. Would really love to hear from you guys.

Thanks.

It's not unusual in your case since you were approved from TSC. I highly suggest you visit these two threads: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/295136-california-to-texas-texas-to-california-part-2/ and http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/292777-csc-to-tsc-to-nvc-the-saga-continues/. There have been quite a few cases where they've waited WEEKS to get to NVC from their NOA2 date.

You can start calling up an operator asap though to see if they've assigned a case number for you. Once you have it, get that number, the IIN, and the beneficiary ID, as well as giving over your email addresses.

Electronic filing isn't much faster. But as your beneficiary's country is Canada, please realise that online forms are now REQUIRED as shown at the table in the bottom: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_5165.html EP is still optional according to that table.

Grats! When did you get a case complete at NVC?

Yesterday, March 9. I got the email today around 11 a.m. california time. I checked the NVC recording before going to bed and it said jack. That last stretch at NVC was torturous. I got spoiled by how fast they did all the other steps. It really wasn't that bad of a wait at NVC, it's just at this point we're all weary and tired of it all. A day feels like a week! Have you heard anything on your case, Saylin?

I found out yesterday as well of our CC! Just waiting now for an interview date to be assigned. It's about 2 months from CC to interview for Montreal, and I can find out about the interview date anytime between now and a month from now. Just gotta wait patiently, lol. I'll be fine, I'm worried about my husband though. He's tired of waiting and wants a date for our interview. laughing.gif

Wait...patiently....does not compute. I'm with your husband and so is my wife, we're all sick of it and not waiting patiently at all. I feel like I'm crawling to the finish line over broken glass. But at least I FINALLY HAVE A FINISH LINE IN SIGHT! I really needed that shot in the arm. People that willingly do long distance relationships and are happy with it are out of their f'ing minds, ha ha! I was actually shocked that the email they sent already had the interview date on it. I thought it had to leave the NVC and get processed at the embassy and that they would assign the date. But hey, I ain't gonna complain.

Well, I'd rather be happy and wait patiently than be miserable while waiting, so :P

Yeah, I don't know how couples willingly do long distance relationships. It's been almost a year for me and it's not the ideal situation.

NVC assigns the interview date and then sends the documents to the embassy/consulate.

SIF = Sign In Failed (it's when you can't sign into the payment portal site anymore, a good indication of CC)

CC = case complete

Ah, thank you for that clarification. And I'm no where near the zen master you are. I want results not now, but five minutes ago. Guess we're slightly different personality types.
