Better yet, it was my birthday :dancing:

On 11/24 I got the notice that my petition was being transferred to "a USCIS Office". Then I got a touch yesterday (11/29). I'm guessing this new touch was the USCIS office logging it in as received. If this is true and the USCIS Office is my local office, we are that much closer to approval. I am veeeeeeeeery anxiously awaiting the next step. If nothing changes in the next 2-3 days (i.e. message from the local office, USCIS request to interview me (the petitioner), NOA2 :yes:...), I will call and ask where my petition is. If it is at my local office (10 miles away), I will make an infopass appointment about some some bogus "other" question :devil: and go in to talk to them.

Based on past experience, the InfoPass appointment system makes it is difficult to get an the appointment for a pending etition unless it is past the 5 months or the USCIS has requested that you come in. On two occasions, I have made appointments to discuss "other issues", I got my appointment, asked about another form I was filling out and then just tagged on questions about my I-130. If it is indeed under the control of my local office, they hopefully will be able to give me a better update.

Another touch for me today as well. I feel approvals coming soon to many of us. :) orrrrr all these cases are being split and sent to several locations to speed up the process and that may explain the touches. We just sit and wait and prepare for NVC.
