Another news. Someone got approved Nov 17 with same NOA date as mine again. His last two numbers: 32nd. So, 30th, 32nd, 33rd (transferred to NYC), 34th, and 36th were approved already. Cmon, go to number 39th!!! (Not to mention, several got approved in the 10s and 20s. They're really working on our papers! This should keep our hopes up!!!)

oh its so boring waiting, after being transferred to texas last time it was touched was on 10th November.

Just want something to happen already, I know we have a long way to go, and this first step is the longest but its so annoying not hearing anything.

and its also annoying seeing people who have filed after me get NOA2, that's BS if you ask me.

our notice date was 17th aug, and our priority date was the 9th aug. not sure if that means anything, but come on texas.......

Hey August filers, we're all about halfway or more through our five month period now, and I've been thinking about the Affidavit of Support. Since most of us will be submitting our I-864s in January/February of next year and would not normally have filed our 2010 taxes by that time, does anyone know if our "three most recent tax years" that we would send transcripts for would be 2009, 2008, and 2007?

I posted a more detailed question about my AOS here...

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/283473-questions-about-i-864/page__pid__4299851#entry4299851

...but I wanted to check in with people who are on the same time line as me and see what your thoughts/plans are. Thanks!

I already ordered and received the (free) transcripts from the IRS for 2007,2008,2009 and I also ordered for another family memeber just in case. Yes the 2010 will not be ready by that time so we don't send 2010. But when the interview comes around I will take the recent 2010 that I just filed cause the transcripts won't be ready by then for 2010.

So for those who haven't done so, I do recommmend ordering tax transcripts from the IRS. You just call (800)908-9946 the automated answering system and order it. It takes less than 5 minutes.

My husband already ordered his tax transcripts the week we sent out the I-130 package, so we're good to go, lol.

I think what my husband and I will do is file the 2010 taxes right away in January just in case. It all depends on when we get the NOA2 though and get to the step in NVC when we have to mail the I-864 package out. It could be December, it could be January, or even February. Who knows. But I think filing as soon as possible for 2010 would be the best bet for all of us.
