I mailed our I-130 to Chicago for the second time on August 19 (got rejected the first time and I'm still not sure why). The check just cleared my bank on yesterday (August 31)!

When they rejected it, didn't they say the reason?

So I just got the email from the lockbox saying that they routed our application to California. I live in Georgia, so I figured it would go to Vermont. Is this normal? I'm going to do some searching in the forums, but I figured I'd ask in the meantime! :-)

Sent in our package on August 21st and got our NOA1 yesterday in the mail. Now to wait the long wait till the NOA2. Good luck to everyone!

So, it looks like you other August filers aren't obsessing as much as I am! I need distractions! I literally ran out of things to clean last night. I spent the day today looking for projects--I have 4 friends expecting babies soon, so it looks like I'll spend the next couple of months crocheting baby blankets. Any other ideas? What are you guys doing to keep yourselves busy?

I keep checking USCIS website everyday to see if there are any touches. I also come and read some messages here. Its just a waiting game from here on. I guess we wait at least 2 more months? Anyone have an idea on how many days till NOA2? I keep charting NOA1-NOA2. I get the processing times and write them down each day to compare. It was 108 days when I started and it has gone up to 136 days now.

That's pretty much what I'm doing now, but I don't think this level of obsession is good for me ;-). I'm estimating 5 months, like the USCIS website says--that way I won't be so disappointed if it takes forever, and anything less will feel awesome!

I mailed in my I-130 package on August 13. The post office tracking tells me it was received on August 16th, but I still haven't received my NOA1, or any other response. It's been over a month. At what point do I start panicking, and after that, what do I do?

I mailed in my I-130 package on August 13. The post office tracking tells me it was received on August 16th, but I still haven't received my NOA1, or any other response. It's been over a month. At what point do I start panicking, and after that, what do I do?

I mailed I-130 the same day as you and I got my NOA1 in the mail on 8/26. There was a mistake on USCIS part so they fixed it and a reprint was received by me on 9/07.

Not sure what your next step should be, but, I would start by calling USCIS maybe they can try to locate it without the receipt #. I have read other about other members who have tried that. From what I recall in most cases the petition was rejected and mailed back due to Section C. Don't want to alarm you just share my observations.

I am sure others with more experience with chime in. Hopefully I am wrong and maybe a case of misplaced mail.
