I'm "manifesting" our Christmas NOA2s as we speak... :D

Oh! That's an excellent idea. I shall manifest as well, every night before I go to bed and anytime my brain is free from other thoughts. :D

I had my game again. Found out that two got approved last November 9. (Same NOA1 date as ours again.)

Oh yes, you're definitely right, Kikapoo. The consulate especially for me since Montreal is at a 5-month backlog right now >_<

Thank you, I will definitely need it! How long is the wait at your consulate?

Anecdotally, it seems to be about 2 months. Do you know if there's anywhere I can see a (pre-calculated) average time? Are you going by anecdotes? Hopefully you'll get lucky!

Oh, I wish I had 2 month-wait!

I know it's about 4-5 month wait at Montreal because in the Canada regional forum, there's a spreadsheet from finishing at NVC and the interview date, and it's all a 4-5 month wait. Unfortunately, Montreal is the only consulate in all of Canada that does IR-1/CR-1 visa interviews, which explains the backlog.

I'm praying that this wait gets reduced though by the time I'm done with NVC, cause waiting for an interview which is as long as waiting for an NOA2 from USCIS is ridiculous. I just hope that I'm back in the USA by May 21 for my one year anniversary. If I am, I'll be happy.

Well, #######, I went through and searched some timelines, and it looks like anywhere from 2 to 4 months is normal. I'm going to tell myself that those 4-month waits are outliers, as there aren't that many DR filers to look through :-D.

So spill it, Saylin, who have we been hearing from this whole time? USC, or Canadian Citizen? Husband or wife? ;)

ETA: Ok, all this time I've been thinking you are USC + wife. I see now that you are CC + wife. Ok, half-right! :star:

Is there not any recent threads in the regional forum for DR as to how long it takes from NVC completion to interview?

Good detective skills. Yup, I'm the CC and the wife. :D Half points to you!

And if I'm correct, you're the USC and the wife as well.

You are correct!

My regional forum would be Latin America/Mexico/Caribbean. It's a little...diluted, shall we say. Most of the threads are specific to Colombia, Mexico, and Jamaica, so I don't even bother lurking around there!

Do you guys have any trips/visits planned for the upcoming months? How far apart do you actually live? (I'm always jealous of people who can just drive a few hours across the border and see their SO...but jealousy aside, I hope that's the case for you!

Wow, I can understand why you don't bother with the regional forums, so many countries smushed into one!

He's actually coming up to visit me on November 24! Coming in at midnight, but I don't care. It'll be worth the drive to the airport at that hour.

Unfortunately, we're not in driving distance. I mean, we are technically, but it would take more than a day and it wouldn't make much sense. Especially since he would have to take an extra two days to drive here and back. I would prefer going to visit him since I don't work (thus no need to take off time), but I was denied twice in August and I'm not going to try again. :(

Hitting third month since priority date this week. I hope NOA2 will come soon. I hope someone from August will receive NOA2 already. It's time to celebrate!!!

Wow--same NOA1 date, same visit date! How odd (but exciting!)! It's too bad driving is not an option! I take consolation in the fact that at least my plane tickets are not absurdly expensive. I mean, they could certainly be better (and a direct flight would be nice!), but I'm very glad I don't have to buy plane tickets to anywhere in Asia or Africa...I'd be broke (in addition to lonely)!!!
