I would ask that these topics at least try to stay related to this forum; however I understand the need to vent which can be healthy. Please though I would ask that everyone take a step back and breath for a moment. It appears some people may be arguing just to argue.

The problem with these threads in this sub-forum the last two weeks or so is that everyone has their agenda. Darnell and Tbone have their "purge all the legacy members in OT" agenda, Myself, AJ, Madhouse, and Cleo have the "stamp out racism" agenda, Lisa has the "lets everyone get along and stop closing bloody threads" agenda, etc. People tend to project their agenda regardless of the actual topic at hand. The slick ones are at least able to slip their agenda into the discussion at hand.

All that being said, there are many issues that need to be addressed. Hopefully it would result in a more harmonious situation.

On a realistic note. I can solve issues on the site and how we do things, however I will probably not be able to solve "who likes who" type issues.

I don't think even someone like Warren Christopher could solve some of the dislike between members on this board. But I think that if there were consistent enforcement of the ToS, that would aleviate some of the animosity.

@Booyah

Stop being so disingenuous. I don't mind a legitimate debate, but when your rationale wades into racist dogma, then I'll stop being civil and conduct myself in the appropriate manner.

It's a tad hard to discuss something like ghettos and illegal aliens in the US without involving demographics. That said, based on so many threads regarding such issues, with the latest being Islam, it's quite clear that there cannot be a logical discussion with a number of you guys on such topics. Also like a certain poster, you guys change your stance depending on your feeling of the subject. You cannot have a discussion with people like that. For example, on one topic everyone thinks and acts the same [all people], next topic everyone is not the same. Not all Muslims guilty of terrorism but all Caucasians guilty of slavery etc. It's those sorts of double standards that get frustrating.

Ironically, considering the premise of the Islamic topic, you guys take ideological stances on these topics and stick to them. It's like trying to discuss the merit or impact of illegal aliens with someone who blindly believes country of immigrants; it's not going to happen. One cannot have discussions with people who enter a thread and carry over their bias or opinion of posters, not their posts but the poster, from one topic to the next.

Half of our posts entail being forced [repetitively] to convince you that we are not [insert label], than actually discussing the topic; because of a post made like 29 months ago.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

To be clear, I know we're all not gonna get along and it's not gonna turn into the rainbow brigade, but at the same time, isn't this constant back and forth exhausting? It's exhausting for me to read it, let alone what it would be like to participate. I'm not suggesting that we all need to hash out our differences, I'm saying, for the sake of some flippin peace and tranquility, just put our individual issues with others to the side and say 'ok, clean slate time'.....would things go back to how they are now? I'm sure at some point we'd find ourselves back here. But every thread is becoming a caricature of the other with the same bs going on, and I for one, am tired of it.

It's hard to discuss things with you BY, because you are oblivious to your biases. Sorry, but you can't support your argument with links and charts from americanrenaissance.com or post statistics out of context. Half the time on those illegal immigration threads, you start in with the "ohh, you don't believe what I believe, so you are in support of illegal immigration" nonsense.

Find me any discusison I have had that is based on reasoning along the lines of [insert finger into ears] sing country of immigrants. I take a pragmatic and objective stance in every argument. It's why I have pretty-much argued with everyone at one time or another on a topic. Now using the 60,000 posts between you guys [no kidding], how many times have either Cleo, A.J, Pike or yourself disagreed with one another? Now what does that tell you regarding who is open-minded and objective.

Who cares if the source is from McDonalds, it's what's in it that counts. I don't play this Bill O'Reilly says it so it must be dumb ####### - that's a liberal thing.

okay, time for peace now :)

I've disagreed with all of them. You need to read more if you're going to engage in commentary.

I take a pragmatic and objective stance in every argument.

The sawed off shotgun you like to threaten people with is pragmatic?

I disagree with everyone.

Oh, and an example of your lunacy, you have just suggested that it's ok to discriminate against muslims because terrorism is akin to cancer. ####### BY?

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Actually BY, I disagree with MC quite frequently, and AJ and Pike to a lesser extent on some issues.

How can you say what does it matter what the source is? The credibility of your argument is dependant upon it. That is why when I use a source or statistical reference, I use either official data, or credible, neutral sites. American Renaissance is not a credible source, at all. Hell, I got a stern reprimand from my supervisor for viewing "racist and hate speech material" when you linked to it on as a source when you were trying to make a point.

I think the point that you are missing here is that when you go off on your diatribes about ghetto culture and "certain demographics" ruining things, there is a valid way to address this topic, you however choose the pejorative manner.

Dam, that wasn't what I came here to post.

I do not think it's a bad idea to refrain from simply tossing out bigot and racist willy nilly, deserved or not in favour of attempting to explain why a particular argument might be problematic - the end result will probably be the same, but I'll give it a go.

The other day, I saw you mention something that happened between you and a member several years ago.

Are you really able to put that stuff aside? Clean slate? In the sake of "flippin' peace and tranquility"?

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.
