Hi,

I just got a NOA asking me and my husband to attend the INITIAL interview. The title of that NOA is "REQUEST FOR APPLICANT TO APPEAR FOR INITIAL INTERVIEW". What does 'initial' mean? Does that mean that we may need to go to more interviews before they give me the green card (or is it a temporary green card)?

Thanks.

This interview is for your 2 year GC.

The word 'initial' throws a lot of people off, myself included.

I just looked at your timeline, where & when is your interview? It looks like you didn't have long to wait since you only filed in July.

Hi Canuck Carrie,

Oh I see.

Yeah I haven't thought that I'd get this NOA so fast either. My k-1 visa application wasnt that fast. The date of my interivew is 12 October, 2006, in San Francisco (luckily the interview isn't next week... otherwise I'll be too nervous cuz I'm really not prepared for this). And the date of that letter is even 2 days before my biometrics appointment. :)
