Hello,

Thank you everybody for helping me with my fiance pregnancy. I learn so much now. I want to ask one more question for the time now. Since I will now have to provide for 3 family members (myself, my fiance and our baby), I want to insure my income is good enough. Does the Consulate look at your "before" tax income or "after" tax income? Currently, my "before" tax income is $32,000. Thanks everyone.

Generally, it's before tax income. The number they use will depend on which form you filed. On a 1040 they line line 22. On a 1040-A they use line 15. On a 1040-EZ they use line 4. These numbers are BEFORE taxes, and AFTER exemptions.

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!
