You love her? Man come on... Man up and handle your business., you think u could do the unthinkables and she or her family take what u have to dish out without song lash behind it? Naaah. Man or woman doesn't deserve miss treatment.... That's no relationship probably not USCIS bona fide relationship and maybe easier to get a GC on abus. Terms don't sit about for her to send a letter after you have filed a protective order to send a quick letter to USCIS and with draw All what you're wanting go get done.

but why cant my friends testemony b enoough? they talked to my wife n she admitted to them everything...

I'm sure your wife can also find friends to testify that you beat her! You need to record the abuse and have believable people confirm the beating.

Police report is best! Call them next time and let them do a report then you can choose not to press charges, but still have a report on record.

I would stand up to her after the police report to see if you can change the situation. Maybe all she needs is a dude with a backbone!

I would suggest you get out as quick as possible, if she is being that abusive to you, maybe she is unhappy that it did not work out, and may even try to kill you, so is it really worth it for you to stay here and continue being abused, with the chance of her hurting you, even worst than she already has. I think you should call the police make a report, if you can, try to record, how she talks to you, because it's obvious that she does not love you, and if you need to suffer the consequences of you not doing your paperwork, and you have to go back, nothing is worth your life, you need to think about your family, if something happens to you. it seems as if she hits you just to provoke you into hitting her, so you will be deported. Good Luck

VAWA is very difficult to get You have to have a lot of proof, I am talking about stacks and stacks of proof of domestic violence by having police reports, and doctor's reports from the ER, and proof that you were really a victim and it takes a long long time to get approved. I have a friend who was severely beaten and abused by her ex husband for several years and has a lot of documentation to go along with this and had been waiting over 3 years for a VAWA approval and was recently denied and she honestly had the proof and documentation to back it up. Now she is appealing the denial with a lawyer from Catholic Charities. I wish you the best of luck if you go the VAWA route without any documentation that I mentioned above your case, in my opinion, does not look good.

Although you can express your opinions, you still have to respect other posters. Apparently you don't realize the hardship that leaving this land after studying and pretty much having a life here, and then lose it, can have on a person. Everyone that is here made this country their home, and have nothing to go back to.

For someone who isn't fooled, you make it hard not see you are acting like one. Please act accordingly, if you want the rest of us to treat you nicely.

I agree with this statement. Vietbride is too harsh but agree with her as well.

While it is difficult to go back to your country, is it reason to trump up VAWA charges on US Citizen / LPR just so you can stay in the US? You can't force your US Citizen/LRP Spouse to file for your papers if things are not working out. Hardship waiver is something you can use if it is too difficult to go back (not abuse charges).

It does seem like every marital breakup leads to VAWA if you were to read this forum. People start thinking about how to file VAWA and what documents do they need immediately as soon as word breakup is uttered.

Oh, it's up to the poster to decide what he will do. I don't think he is going that route just to stay, it is a combination of all mentioned factors. He is between a rock and a hard place, because if things truly are as he says, he entered the marriage in good faith, and under that context, he should have the right to have his case heard by the proper parties. Also, the USC should not get a free pass for her conduct. Whatever happens she should still face the consequences, again, if things are as the OP states.

thank you, i did really tell the truth, my wife had problems w her stepfather growing up and i think thats why shes acting to me this way.also bad relationship with her ex. after spending couple of days at a friends house, and reading the messages she sent me on fb, im considering giving her another chance as she begged me for, shes got tough life and is not as stable as i am, and marriage is not a joke, so i will see... i might forgive her this last time and if she messes up one more time and becomes violent with me, i will deff divorce her.

well we did meet today but the conversation didnt go as well as i expected.at some point my wife took my 2 bottles of my expensive cologne, ran outside n threw them n broke them. so the neighbours called the police, when they came i explained what happeed n my wife also admitted so they took her to jail. i got a paper from the police officer and they told me i can get a restraining order. im sad i have to do this but i will divorce her.

Is the restraining order enough for self petition?

You are going to need a lawyer for your divorce proceedings, wouldn't hurt to get one that has experience in immigration law. I think that in a way it proves the basis of an immigrant visa, to marry in good faith, but she is just not mentally fit, at least now, to be in one... There is a record of abuse now, so you have that going for yourself.

I guess you just have to apply with what you got, and see. If she is in jail, then you won't be getting any more evidence to support your VAWA claim.

It's NOT enough. Get her to admit the same to the police and they will put it in their report.

MAYBE that will be enough but it's hard to say now-a-days.

File a protection order against her and the police will remove her from your house.

You need to do this NOW.

Get your head out of the sand and BELIEVE that she does not love you.

Kinda harsh I know, but so is life. ACT NOW, tears later.
