This thread seems to be infamous, but yet I don't remember it at all.

Maybe Lisa didn't post in that thread? There are many that I don't read and I get really miffed when people take me to task for not posting in a thread that I didn't even read.

Nope, I missed that one.

Didn't the thread about Dr. Laura Schlessinger have a multiple "n*gger" quote in it?

Dunno, did it? Did you report it? And what's that got to do with this, hrmmm? Because I happened across one thread, I need to happen across them all?

Who says it's about you?

I was curious why people who report isolated swear words, for instance, are prepared to tolerate them when they relate to an argument that they agree with.

For example - in the thread I referred to, people seemed to overlook the "n!gger n!gger n!gger" comment that Dr Laura made because they agreed with her about political correctness.

It was reported although not by me, though the mod who responded to it seemed more interested in posts that referred to Doctor Laura as a "gaping arsehole"

Ah, I get it now - fair point.

I just read something bizarre, a poster made a claim that liberals are more likely to complain about TOS violations than conservatives. That seems to me like a very cockeyed claim to make but just for fun thought I would test the water as it were.:)

The way you've structured your poll, you won't be able to actually test that hypothesis.

My poll is a fail? Please let me know how I should have done it.

I've reported people. The one time I reported on myself for a TOS violation I got suspended for it. Only time it happened but I knew what I did and knew I'd be reported on anyways and didn't care. She was out of line. I think if you're going to be an a-hole to me expect me to be an a-hole back. Don't just LOLZ it off at the end and add a smiley face like you're just kidding around. Busting out a :) and/or laughing after you say something rude does not negate the rude statement you just made.

Same goes for when people say "No offense but," or "With all due respect," or "Just saying" before or after they say something rude. It's like an insurance policy if I understandably react with anger they can be like, "Woah, wait a minute! I was just joking around! Sheesh. Calm down. Hee Hee. Ha Ha. :)" And that is cowardly. If you're going to start ####### then it's only fair that you expect ####### back. You give it, you can take it.
