Cleo, the issue I have with you is that you cannot accept or interpret data very well. No seriously

I do not sit there and scold some for things they say, but giggle when someone I like says the equivalent things to you guys; I have the same standards for all. I also understand that what may not be offensive to me, may be to others. This is an immigration forum after all, and there are people with various cultural backgrounds and so forth; which is why I don't cry about what is being said to me. The only time I will push back and hard is when ambushed.

Just because someone deems the millionth discussion about illegal aliens to be boring or offensives, does not make it offensive. Nor should it mean anyone has a right to disrupt the thread, let alone accuse us of being racists.

Most of all, stop with the selective outrage. Might want to ponder What's good for the goose is good for the gander, in this context.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

You get very confused because you see people as some kind of collective - answering your posts becomes impossible - I am not part of any collective, I am responsible for what I post and only what I post - unless you get that, nothing you say to me will make any sense, period.

Correction Madame, I see people with lock-step Borg views as a collection.

As long as that remains the case, I have nothing to say to you as regards your accusations.

I will also report you if you continue to lump me in with your rag tag accusations against your perceived 'lock-step' Bog, whatever that is.

Most of our journeys are over
Noted, and noticeable. If such legacy members are not contributing positively in the upper fora even once in a while, then why is remaining on VisaJourney so very crucial, especially when there are dozens of political and social websites available for the kinds of discussions (and tones of discussion) that these legacy members insist on having?

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I think people have formed friendships on here with people who went through the immigration process at the same time they did. They stick around and interact with them.

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

It really is none of your business why legacy members continue to post, there is nothing wrong with doing so, it is not against any policy of VJ. When and if it is, raise the issue, until then, your post comes across as churlish.

Noted, as stated in the past. However, is this a reason or a rationale for taking such tones with each other? Does it fit with the purpose of the VisaJourney site? These are honest questions, without rancor. Look at the title of this thread. Perhaps some people should look at the title of this thread and give themselves a long look in the mirror.

You're still continuing your crusade to purge VJ of those you don't like in OT. Again, i'll pose the same question to you that I issued to Darnell, isn't suggesting that people leave VJ, even in your pseudo-subtle manner against TOS?

Unless "some members are more equal than others," I'm as entitled to weigh in on it as is anyone. The issue is not whether it's wrong for legacy members to post; it's the nature and (more often) the tone. This is the Site Discussion forum. Read the title of this thread, and please ask yourself how the tone of your post (quoted here) fits or belies this thread's title.

Please name three people, or two, or one, in OT about whom I have expressed dislike. Do it now, in this thread.
