Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie here and this forum has been terrific in helping my fiance and I in getting the I 129 package together.

I have one concern though which i haven't found anywhere on this forum.

My fiance and I met in London, where he was studying and then working. He left his work to pursue his PhD in the US.

He has no source of income and was in London last year. My question is, how do we deal with the AOS when the US citizen is a student?

His parents can be co-sponsors but I am not sure how to present our case.

Please help as we intend to send the package in the coming days.

Thanks

The USC fiance(e) can file an I-134 AOS stating student. $0 income per year.

The joint sponsor for the I-134, there can only be one, not two as in both parents, one or the other will fill out the I-134. Their income needs to cover a household of 3, themself, the spouse and the alien fiance(e).

Additionaly, the joint sponsor needs to be a US Citizen, US National or LPR. They will need to provide a copy of birth certificate or green card copied front and back along with their financial documents.

Good luck

This is the place to post your experiences or questions related to this last step before moving to the US. Topics relating to I-134's, packets sent from consulate and medical & police certificates should be posted here.

YMMV
