Hello everyone,

I mailed this week my I-485 package to the Dallas Lockbox PO Box using USPS certified/receipt return service.

I checked today and it says that yesterday night, Friday 20th, they attempted to deliver the package and a notice was left. If USCIS office does not call to schedule a redeliver (something I am afraid they will not do...) the package will be sent back to me after 15 days.

Any similar experience??? what should I expect now? Do USCIS usually pick up mail? I guess it was not a smart decision to request a signature to deliver, but that was the advice the university lawyer gave us and it is the same I have been reading on line. They usually recommend this way of mailing for USCIS PO Boxes... I am really scared that all of my paperwork get lost!! and start doing all over again is not really funny...:(

I would really appreciate any feedback! thanks!!!

give it time, it might be that it got there after the mailroom picked up their mail for the day and it is now a weekend and they are closed on weekends. I say wait until Tuesday and I bet you see it was picked up! This is a standard tracking notice from the USPS! Best wishes!!!

Thank you Hamigirl! I will wait until Tuesday or so to see what happens, and you are right, I checked the USPS website and it says that is the way they proceed with certified mail going to PO Boxes so hopefully everything will be fine! Thanks again!

Yes, it has happened to other people. Usually the next business day, someone from USCIS goes to the PO box and picks the packages up. Then it shows up on the USPS website as having been delivered. You should be fine. :)
