PR application while having CR-1 application

My I-130 petition was approved. It will be challenging for my wife to re-establish domicile in US as she was naturalized in 2003 and she did not live in US since then. Although, she was visiting US twice a year.

We both applied for immigration to Canada to get PR cards. We want to get a line of credit to cover our moving expenses to US when I get greencard, and all banks here in Canada want us to have PR in order to approve the application for a line of credit.

My question is whether our application to immigrate to Canada will affect my green card application? Is there any communication between US and Canadian governments regarding immigration applicaitons?

Will the interview be held in Montreal? Montreal is a very strict consulate when it comes to domicile in the US.

I don't have a definate answer to your question, but I do know of a couple of people that immigrated to Canada while waiting for their US immigration applications to be approved.

I have similar kind of story. I applied Canadian immigration when my U.S Naturalization was pending, just for fun! I didn't proceed with it and later I was naturalized in the U.S.

US Citizen has to prove domicile to america. That will be very hard if only living in canada. Go to the canada section and view pinned toppic on the domicile issue. It is a very big issue at montreal and many people have been turned away because of it.

Domicile issues are huge in the Montreal consulate. They are very specific on what they want, a lease/mortgage, a job, etc for the USC. It can delay your case for a long time if you are not prepared

You have asked this same question 3 times now in 3 separate forums and were answered each time. The information does not change. The best answer that was given is to check the pinned thread at the top of this forum (the Canada forum) entitled 'Proving Domicile'. The biggest obstacle your wife will have is that she does not have domicile in the US and has not had domicile since she became a US citizen. She needs to provide evidence that she intends to re-establish domicile in the US in order for your CR-1 petition to be approved. Currently, her immigrant status in Canada shows intent to live in Canada. That is what she needs to overcome by proving that she is re-establishing herself in the US. All of the information you need is in that above thread. Please do not post this same question again. The answer is not going to change.
