Hi there fellow VJ'ers, well just wanna share my experience in my interview last Aug 16, 2010. I know evryone are all nervous thinking about the US embassy interview and I myself is soooo nervous. Aug 14, 2010, my fiance arrived here in the Philippines just to be with me in the interview, I know its not a requirement but it reallly helps me to be more calm. Aug 15, 2010...we just study evrything, I mean I tried asking lots of different questions regarding his family, the works just an additional knowledge so I will be confident enough to face the consul officer. Please be reminded, DS 160 is not needed, just visit the us company website and take a look at those forms they will be looking. I reviewed evrything, we didnt hire any lawyer at all, we just worked hard for this K1 visa together. Me and my fiance stay in Bayview hotel and I sleep around 9pm too early just to be prepare for my interview for the next day Aug 16 around 7am. Well as my fiance shared, he didnt sleep that well, he's so stressed about what would be the result of the interview. I woke up around 6am, as many adviced me, I choosed an outfit little conservative, no sleeveless but I do have a blaser and a black soft pants. Not much make up but at least look great and presentable. Upon the entrance to the US embassy, I presented a valid ID (any government issued ID) and the appointment letter, and my fiance is allowed to enter in the US embassy...well guards are so good I could say. Upon entrance you need to pass the security check, no camera or celphhone allowed. Then after that there is a line there to get a number wherein you need to present the BDO receipt and the different DS forms and they will give you a number. Then we waited until the number was called for finger scanning and with the finger scanning they asked for my full name and my birthday just verify my identity I guess (lol) After the finger scanning, we waited again for the number to flash on the board and when I saw my number, I went to the window they that flash on the screen. Its the first interview, Im a little nervous even she is a filipina and speak tagalog. She greeted me with a smile then greeted my fiance too. She asked for my NBI, CENOMAR and Birth certificate and then asked me how I meet my fiancee, I answered briefly then the lady asked my fiance when he arrived, how's his stay here and then asked about my fiance work. I could say, my fiance do a lot of talking than me. The filipina girl always addressed the question to my fiance so I just do nothing but just simply smile and agreed for what my fiance told then we we're told to wait for the final interview. My number then flash on the screen to go to the window 28. I was then so nervous...erghhh cant imagine how i feel that time. I enter the cubicle thinking my fiance is no longer allowed but to my surprise the consul office, a black lady greeted my fiance to enter the room. Then Im waiting for the consul to asked for the documents i prepared but guess what SHE NEVER EVEN ASKED for anything, then just simply asked these questions, how you and your fiance meet and then she look at the pictures and you know what happen, the consul talked about the New york, the places addressing to my fiance that she even told the place looks familiar just to find out that the consul do have a friend somewhere in Albany NY well of course I cant relate since I dont know the place then after they talked about the different places here, the food stuff then after their conversation the interview finished, the consul said, VISA PPROVED!!! I was in sate of shock, because I done nothing, I was prepared for lot of questions that she will asked but thats it. The documents I have prepared for more than a month, the phone bills, the chat logs, lots of certificates and evrything, is still in my hand and consul didnt even bother to asked for that or even looked....haaayyyy well...yes I got the pink slip and got approved. Now Im waiting for my visa to be delivered, any questions from VJ'rs, feel free to asked me. You could also check my timeline.....I could say, being my fiance with me on the interview really helps a lot, consul officers seems so nice that my fiance is with me. Well, the only thing I could adviced is if your fiance could be with you on the interview, it would have a big chance and big factor but of course Im just saying about my experience...I still believed that even if your fiance is not around and all your documents are complete and no fraud, you'll get the VISA APPROVAL...GOD BLESS ALL!!!!

You Fiance is a US Citizen he is allowed entrance 24/7 365 days per year. They actually have a side door to USEM that he could of used and not had to stand in line with you if he wanted

Philippines and USEM is one of the easiest embassy to a get a marriage based visa approved.

From my observations, I would say about 6 out of 100 interviews in a day have the petitioner there.

Good Luck and enjoy the USA, Just hope you not coming to Texas or a state down south, coz if you do you are about to find out how hot the weather is here in parts of the USA, it makes the Philippines feel cool.

Take it from TCL. He is not lying.

Louisiana heat is killing me. At least on winter you can warm yourself up and put as much clothes you want.. but the hot weather here just makes me want to take off all my clothes.
