We had a question. Can anyone else that has dealt with the Consulate in Buenos Aires tell us how long it took for them to send their notification for the scheduling of the interview once the consulate sent a notice thanking you for all of the paperwork being received?? We received the thank you for the papers on 8/06/2010 but haven't heard anything yet about the interview, we were hoping for some feedback, Thanks for the help.

they received our package 3 on 7/12 then on 8/4 we got RFE email and then hand delivered package of RFE's on 8/18 and then we got an email that all papers are now correct on 8/20 and that they are just waiting for an opening for an interview date. Hope this helps.

Thanks for responding, we're in the same scenario all papers are submitted and waiting on an interview date. Just wanted to know from someone that has gone that extra step how long it took to receive the interview date. It's frustrating because on the Packet instructions it clearly states:

"Normal processing time to review your copies and contact you is approximately 7 business days since the moment we have received your envelope. You will be scheduled for a visa interview at the earliest possible date."

it's been 9 days and they have not contacted us. That is what I was hoping to find out from someone, how long it took to be contacted and receive the interview date. I have family wanting to travel here for the wedding ceremony and friends asking so that they can plan something for us. So if anyone has gone to the next step and received their interview date or already had the interview, how long did it take from the final delivery of all RFE papers (and e-mail notification from the consulate thanking you) to the actual e-mail announcing your interview date??

Have you tried calling Dept of State at 202-663-1225 to check? I think they can tell you if the case has arrived at your embassy. I don't know about BA, but in Bogota everything for P3 can be sent electronically just as soon as you know that the embassy has your file. You don't have to wait to receive any notice directly from the embassy.

N-400

Feb. 12, 2016 - Sent N-400 to USCIS (3-year rule)

Feb. 19, 2016 - NOA1

Mar. 14, 2016 - Biometrics

June 2, 2016 - Interview - Recommended for Approval

hey messi, not sure if you guys recv'd packet 3 yet, but if you haven't, try emailing the BA Embassy directly. Let them know your names and what you're waiting for, they should respond pretty quickly. That's what we did and they responded sending us an email with all of packet 3 attached within a few hours. Oh, and don't worry when you get an automatic response email saying that they're not going to respond to that question, that's happened to us twice so far and they've responded everytime. Hope this helps :star:

and so it begins...

6/15/2010 - I-129F sent

6/17/2010 - check cashed

6/22/2010 - NOA 1

6/28/2010 - Touched

7/19/2010 - NOA2!! website was never updated but we recv'd the hardcopy notifying us on the 24th of July.

7/22/2010 - Recv'd by NVC

7/22/2010 - Sent to Embassy

8/2/2010 - Recv'd by Embassy in Buenos Aires and they sent us an email with the packet 3 instructions!

8/12/2010 - Medical Examination done!

9/6/2010- Sent Packet 3 by mail to Embassy

9/10/2010 - RFE ugh

9/20/2010 - Sent in all correct documents

10/7/2010 - FINALLY received interview date!!! Oct. 21st!!

10/21/2010- He passed the interview! Woohoo!!

12/3/2010- Bruno arrives to Houston!

12/19/2010- Our Wedding day :-)

12/21/2010- Sent all forms for AOS, EAD & Advance Parole

Thanks, we did that on Tuesday. they responded immediately and my fiance hand-delivered the package the same afternoon. Apparently they've had our file since Aug 20th but didn't bother to let us know. Now just waiting for an interview date...

Awesome! Congrats and good luck on Monday!! We still haven't heard anything yet. Our status probably got a little delayed bc we got RFE'd 2 days after we sent it in. Luckily it didn't take that long to fix the problem, but it put us about a week behind. Hopefully we'll hear something soon! Keep us posted and good luck again!! :star:
