Okay, i don't always panic about things, but I'm seriously worried

about my NOA2 for my mums I130 petition which I sent in March.

Anyone in the same situation, and what do I really do about this.

California processing time was supposed to be 5 months, and next week

is 5 months and nothing.

Is your husband Muslim ? Nigeria can get caught up in name checks and because their records are so bad it can take sometime to clear if you are a false positive. They tend to be slower at "dangerous" hits that others. ( Dangerous in their minds )

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

The I-130 is for her Mom, not husband.

We are in the same boat. Our NOA1 is dated April 1st from CSC, last touched April 5th and haven't heard anything since.

If you check the VJ timelines, you will see that there is not much action for folks with NOA1 after end of March.

I think if you call before 5mo, they will just tell you to call back after 5mo...

Ark 1214, I called USCIS today and stated that my case is almost outside

the processing time and immediately requested for an expedited decision

which was approved within 12hrs of the request.

I hope to have the decision anytime between today and tomorrow. So it doesn't

hurt to call.

Oh well, I just called USCIS and they insist that I call back in a AFTER the application has exceeded 5mo which is in about a week. So much for expedited decision...

Just proves again that if the same question is asked of 2 different USCIS reps, you can get 2 different answers!
