Hello, after checking my case status online it states that on the 16th of August an RFE was sent to me (which I'm assuming is Biometrics). How long does it usually take from being mailed (I sent my N-400 to Texas lock box) to arriving at my pace in PA? It is now the 20th and I haven't received anythinh.

It just seems that 4 days is a bit of a long time from Texas to PA. I'm probably just worrying over nothing!

Thanks everyone.

You should expect it to take a week. Although they say the 16th, but you can't guarantee that they will mail it the same day. A quick thing you can do is to see what is the post marked date on the envelop - which will tell you when USPS actually processed it.

If you see my signature, when I did my ROC, I received the card production on 2/3, but the envelop was post marked on the 9th.

We didn't have a life checking our on-line status for the I-751, but that was critically important to stay here legally. We just said the hell with on-line status for the N-400, really nothing to be concerned about with a fresh ten year card.

When the biometrics letter did come in, dang, another long boring drive to Milwaukee, when the interview letter came in, better start studying for that test and another long boring trip. Then back in the twilight zone again waiting for that oath letter and another long boring trip. Followed by having to lay out another couple of hundred bucks and yet another form and the twilight zone again waiting for the US passport and whether we would have more problems if they didn't return the certificate.

Maybe we needed a break from all that stress with the I-751, we needed a break, but also wanted to get this stuff over with.

We have an ongoing petition for my wifes' unmarried son, check that once a month, varies from a year to five years each time, enough to drive you nuts, last time was over five years, so just ignore it. If we talk about it, just get upset.

Yesterday, went to an airport where the outer marker was hit by lightning, as the manager was new, said we have to call the FAA to NOTAM ir off the air, is the law. Called and some idiot said before he could to that, requires two pilot reports. Said I have the fried unit in my vehicle, do you want me to drive down to Oklahoma City and show it to you. Why do we have complete idiots working for our government? New manager said he was also contacted by the state IRS for fuel and sales tax, where is there money, he told them he can't send it until they issue him a tax number, and what is taking them so long? More government idiots. Toss in the other 1,500+ relatively new government agencies one has to deal with, can be a bit too much to deal with. Least you can scratch the USCIS off the list or hope so. If you do get a letter after the oath ceremony, can lead to strict panic. So then you hope you never hear from then again.
